You should be embarrassed by what you said CHUMP They are Nassau County Champs.

Curious...for years?
Please elaborate? Let me know an instance where a player was starting over another player because he was Spanish LOL

Suffolk best-

goalie: Brentwood starting keeper
coach: Brentwood’s Ron Eden since he’s been able to run arguably the most successful high school soccer program on long island for I believe more than 20 years

Floyd #10 is good ,very skilled and runs through players BUT he needs to release the ball more , he keeps it to long and will lose it sometimes. I think the entire team is a dark horse .Ive seen a handful of games since they are having a good season . They have a good defense player in # 33 although he is not as good as he was when playing for KK, he is tough and plays hard but gives the ball away too much .Their forward is good too #11 speedy - probably the fastest forward in the league . He makes good plays , He and # 10 feed well off each other , which is why #10 looks so good this year . They also have a good keeper .Let’s see how the season ends with playoffs , not sure Brentwood is gonna come out in top

Floyd coach is a jerk , heard rumblings that he only promotes his Hispanic players , gotta say looks true to me , saw the list of awards FIRST - how is his goalie not getting all county , SECOND how is number 7 only getting all leagu THIRD - how is your forward # 11 whose goals helped your team out of both playoff games and who without him #10 would never have been as successful only getting All league he is robbing his white players .ive watched them play #33 does not deserve all county , as a mid feeder his stats are dismal oh but he’s Hispanic . Kids who have come through that team have said it , this years awards prove it .poor kids . No wonder kids don’t respect him he doesn’t respect his best players

Just because a midfielder doesn't put up "stats" doesn't mean he wasn't award worthy. Does the player make accurate passes during games? Battles for every ball? Win 50/50 challenges? This may not show up on the stat sheet but a team would not win titles or make playoffs without a solid midfield.

I'm not sure that being Hispanic makes the player superior but from what i've seen, they are more creative, better foot skills and vision. Problem is high school coaches favor faster, taller kick & chase players.

I personally know the Floyd coach , he is a good guy and a good coach .I get kids can be disappointed especially if they continuously feel slighted , and parents get mad but it’s a life lesson .I would rather my son not get awards he deserves then get awards he didn’t .

I agree because a was part of the team for 3 years now. Players got awards that shouldn’t have and others didn’t have the chance to because of the coaches view on the player. Who do you believed deserved awards on Floyd?

My son deserved awards but coach gave to his favorites! But at end of day my boy Is the only one on team playing soccer in college. The rest are done! If your kid is good enough the REWARD is what your looking for. 4 more years of competitive soccer.

I've coached against your son! He's not very good and you are a total idiot! the Floyd coaches have brought a program which was so bad and lifted it to great heights! Get over your self serving idiocy and hit the road! Thank God we won't see your pitiful a$$ on the sidelines anymore!

Suffolk Blue-1 over Nassau Red-1 (3-2)
By Newsday's: Sal Cacciatore
Brian Duarte made the most of his final varsity match on Wednesday evening. The Deer Park midfielder scored two
goals to lead Suffolk to a 3-2 win over Nassau in the first game of the Nassau vs Suffolk Exceptional Senior Soccer
Classic at Diamond in the Pines in Coram. "It's crazy to think because we all played against each other for years as
rivals," said Duarte, who scored to tie it at 1 in the ninth minute and again with 17:56 left in the match to extend Suffolk's
lead to 3-1. "But we came together and won. And it was really fun. I'm really grateful for the opportunity and I couldn't
do this without my team and coaches at Deer Park." Westbury's Diego Turcios opened the scoring for Nassau about six
minutes into the match, before Jasson Garay Portillo (Huntington) found Duarte for the Equalized. "I saw Jasson with
the ball and there was nobody else up top. So I made the run and he saw me," Duarte said. Suffolk went ahead in the
51st minute after Nickolas Dittmer of Eastport/South Manor stormed down the left flank and crossed to Ward Melville's
Brennan Foster, whose strong finish broke the tie. "Sebastian Sosa (Floyd) played a ball out to Dittmer, and I knew he
would cross it in, so I went to about the penalty spot, it came right to me and I put it in," Foster said. Two minutes later,
Garay Portillo and Duarte connected again to double the Suffolk lead. Nassau answered back at 31 seconds later when
Dakota Lambrou scored off an assist from Massapequa teammate Stephen Kirtyan but could not find the tying goal.

Nassau Red-2 over Suffolk Blue-2 (6-4)
By Newsday's: Sal Cacciatore
Nassau takes Game 2. In an end-to-end second game, Nassau relinquished a four-goal halftime lead but still emerged
with a 6-4 win. Garden City's Owen Heaney scored with about two minutes left to break a tie at 4 before Mauricio Puerto-
Quintanilla put it away in the 89th minute. North Babylon's Erick Radtke bent in a ball directly off a corner kick in the 80th minute to tie the score at 4. In the first half, Nike Vidal (Glen Cove) and Mineola's Jose Guera scored within the first
17 minutes, before Lawrence playmaker Puerto-Quintanilla made it 3-0 ten minutes later. Puerto-Quintanilla turned
provider with 10:05 left in the first half, when he found Lawrence teammate Danny Reyes, who scored from about 30
yards. Diego Trujillo (Southampton) kicked off Suffolk's comeback attempt in the 55th minute off an assist from
Brentwood's Remberto Ramirez, before providing the assist for North Babylon's Sean Towey minutes later. Michael
Principe cut the deficit to 4-3 when he scored off a pass from Commack teammate Kyle Gehnrich in the 60th minute.

Two All-American awards, one anchored his defense and led his team to an undefeated season and NYS championship.
The other had a good season but went out in the first round of playoffs and went missing in that game.
One well deserved and the other not deserved at all, politics came in to play this season and it really shows.

Any time there is discretion and opinions involved with making a decision...it usually allows politics to come into play and also allows someone to get screwed.

Luckily the Brentwood kid didn’t get screwed, he truly deserved it. Newfield kid didn’t deserve it at all, while he is an excellent player he didn’t perform any where near the level of the Brentwood kid. The only difference is Newfield daddy is a good salesman, you’ll see him at games ignoring his son playing and chewing every high school or college coaches ear off. Little guy with a big mouth.
