Brentwood has 27 alumni playing college soccer for this season, mostly D2 and D3 but it’s college at that’s what matters, you can see a picture of all 27 on brentwood’s instagram page, brentwood has also had D1 commits to Stony brook and Albany in past years, stop hating when you don't know all the facts

Brentwood always gets bad press Bc gangs and violence in the neighborhood. We should applaud and embrace the fact that the Brentwood HS varsity team produces championship teams that the whole community an be proud of . They get a tremendous amount of community support , alumni support and they deserve the recognition. Big congratulations to the coaches ,players and fans !!! Good luck in states and represent LI proudly 🏆

100% with you, well said. I had hoped our school might finally get to play Brentwood this year but we blew the playoffs and missed out. I am guessing there are not too many players on Brentwood's team who spend $4000 a season to play academy, so hopefully the college coaches will be out in force to see them play. Well done coach and congrats for producing such a consistent team, there are other schools with a pool of players who should be similarly competitive, who fall by the wayside every year. Not these guys.

BOTN has been a fun ride, not much point my kid playing club in the spring when there's money to be earned at weekends and college is already set, so after ten years, it's all over. Thanks Larry for the brilliant forum you have created here, it has been a blast. I'll miss the lunacy and the coffee-time diversion, even that old windbag LI ref, at least he still has an excuse to post. Go Brentwood, make us proud. Show them where the future lies.

Congrats to Brentwood, well deserved. As far as college coaches go, there will be some D3 and Juco coaches thats about it. no money for these schools, where dormimg will cost more then tuition

The win for Brentwood was way more special beyond the team. It brought the whole community together. This high school sport is keeping the kids off the streets and away from the violence. It’s such a wonderful thing to see when positivity overcomes the negativity.

So high School sports championships bring down crime? What did it keep 18 kids off the streets, who wouldn't have be on the street anyway without a championship. Let's be real here if it does bring the community together, get more programs and volunteers to help more kids. Win or lose this is how you keep kids off the streets not championships.

Neither of these comments aged well. 27 kids in college programs this year, THIS YEAR. Probably not all attributable to Ronnie or the HS but an awesome sign of success for an economically challenged area; whoever wrote those comments above should feel pretty ashamed right now. You might be the actual idiot here. No where did anyone say it brought down crime. The kids are being kept away from the violence after school. Going to Brentwood high school everyday is already a struggle having gang members walk the hallways. The statement implied that it brought the community EVEN closer. We are all aware that keeping the kids busy after school keeps them off the streets you “moron”
