Some of the top players bypass top D1 schools because of what they want to major in while at attending college. The Ivy’s are an example of that. Go check the incoming students at the Ivy’s and read there bios.
Sign me up now for William, Amherst, Middlebury (or any NESCAC school), John Hopkins, MIT, University of Chicago, Emory, Carnegie Mellon, etc. These schools all attend the top ECNL/DA showcases and those smart young ladies all are interested in these schools. If your daughter wants a great education and play competitive soccer then these D3 schoools are for them.

100%.

Shout out to those parents that have paid $100k in training fees and travel for their kid from the age of 6-18 only to wind up with a $6,000 per year scholarship to play D-1 soccer.

Do any parents possess any level of reading comprehension? The OP on this topic referred to BAD D3 programs, which is a most likely scenario for the delusional. No one is minimizing a Johns Hopkins, any NESCAC, or any of the above. And major kudos to any kid getting there with OR without sports. But those referenced schools above are few and far between for folks on this board. For most of the dreamers and sideline experts, (i.e those challenged by large paragraphs and words), your kid isn’t going there. They’re going to Nassau Community, Hudson Valley, Curry, Farmingdale, etc, etc, etc. So yes, save your training money and invest in your child’s education so they do not turn out as much of a buffoon. That apple wont fall too far from the ignorant tree if you don’t.

FYI: a number of girls are playing HS soccer without telling their DA clubs...HS coaches are aware but doing nothing...anyone else know girls who are doing this?

Yeah, every girl at Fury. They dont even know how it's going to work out with practice, games, etc because the coaches don't even know. Can't wait to see who Fury blames all the forfeits on this season. Unless Riley comes out and tells everyone that DA should be their priority. Trouble in Fury land and they haven't even started yeg.

While HS coaches know of the rule they are not governed by the rule. As long as a player meets any state rules about HS participation or whatever the coach dictates, that's all that matters to HS coaches. It is a DA rule only. Sure ethically a coach maybe should say "Sorry Emma but I won't put you on my team because you're not supposed to play for Self Entitled HS, it's against your league rules." But Emma is probably a ringer so of course the coach will play Emma. If she is caught the consequences are her problem, not his.

Spoke to a parent at Fury U15. Said they've been told they will only be playing tournaments in the fall due to school teams.

Hey this is probably the same guy who called me out of the blue to ask questions about Fury and then ran to post the info on back of the net.

Makes no sense. If that’s true. Us soccer will know what’s going on. The conference is not a spring only conference.

Think about this. Would you really want your kid playing there when everything is up in the air helter skelter and fury never ever keeps its promises. Unless you thrive on drama. Fury land does not compute.

Is that the current U15 team moving to U16 next year? From 2 teams to not even able to put 1 team on the field. Plus they lost the entire EDP team too. The fall of an empire is swift!!

And you sheep believe that???? Ok, how do you explain the schedule posted on the DA website?
Larry, any chance your contact can validate that?

Might be old news but shows one of the many ways why GDA is BS...everyone knows that you get recruited by going to ID camps...what did the GDA do for your kid

Because all of Fury DA is at high school tryouts and they don’t want to be discovered.

I see that both JS and BS have been invited to NT camp in California, but BS is listed as a player for Met Oval in Queens, how is that possible?? She is rostered as an ECNL play on the NYCFC/WC u17 team, hahaha, very slippery Paul, well done!!

World Class / NYCFC Girls program has three players invited to youth national team camp : Bella Sember (U17), Julia Dohle (U20 - now at Penn State) and Samantha Kroeger (U20). Bella listing as MetOval player is clearly a mistake as hey don't have a girls program.

Didn't Julia Dohle play at NYSC? I think the NYCFC is a mistake...

Can someone Please explain.

Premptive to keep them from Fury?

DA starts at U14. U12 and U13 play pre-DA and Fury has a team in both age groups. Their U12 team looks like just won the league for FAll. LISC does not have any DA age group that Fury doesn’t have a team as well. Fury has a couple age groups LISC doesn’t have.

you can find any information if u look for it. THe "former trainer" allegation is exactly the same "storyline" Albertson parents told so I sense this invisible scapegoat is a common excuse for bs
