Refs, what are your thoughts on instituting a "Sin Bin" to help curb dissent among players like the FA in Britain is trying out. Players are far too disrespectful, even at a young age, to referees. An 8 minute cooling off for U12 and under and a 10 minute cooling of for U13 and up might be worth trying out. Too many coaches and parents don't help out as they are just as bad so why not give referees another tool to work with.

I think it’s a great idea especially when the Coach does not see the need to pull a player and allow him to cool down.

Yes JP that is what cards are for but think of it sort of like hockey. You show a player a yellow card and instead of a possible argument from him he has to step off and go to what hockey refers to as a penalty box, or in this case a SIN BIN. This gives him the opportunity to cool off and think about what just happened. He pays an additional price for the misconduct by having to leave the pitch.
It’s just an additional tool that the referee can use that helps get the point across.

Understand your point, however, hockey has a set up for this "cooling off" period which times the send off. Who is policing the time in the junior soccer leagues, especially,
when the ref has no AR's...now we want to give that added responsibility to the ref? Doesn't he/she have enough to do in watching the game?
I also do not believe it would alleviate any arguments from the players, as you state, either way the player would not like it. Maybe I just do not like the fact that the "beautiful game"
would not be played as it should be, and appears to me there is too much deviation from the LOTG in the junior leagues to begin with. Just my humble opinion.
