Clarkstown 07's no more. They are playing up in the 06 flight now. Played Spirit United in Pennsylvania last weekend.

Bunch of clarkstown kids went to world class, which I guess was always expected to happen.

WC parent. Three former Clarkstown girls have joined the team. Good players. I believe the majority stayed and are playing up. Guessing they move over next year.

That's a shame. The 06's were just players that didn't make the WC team this year. Hate to see these town teams crumble like that.

Makes sense - roster expansion for 11v11 is a good time to make that jump. I guess the main star player Clarktoswn had stayed put for another year?

I'm confused. I have legit respect for that Clarkstown 07 team. I checked Gotsoccer and the Clarkstown 06s actually played and won Spirit United this past weekend. So if a bunch of the 07s left and the 06s crumbled who did they send to that tournament? Better yet, how did they win?

I'm not a hater, I sincerely give them a ton of credit. Apparently they lose a ton of kids and good players yet they keep winning. I tip my cap to them. Like that poster mentioned, you hate to see these town teams crumble so to see one keep cranking is great. I'm here for that. Good luck!

Their coach is very good at set them up for success. This kids are relentless when it comes to pressuring on the ball. They learn to play at a very high tempo, which is really great.

This is not to make anyone feel bad, but they played in the second division and most of their competition isn't what would be expected for the #1 ranked team in NYE.
I'm sure their top players that left for WC were looking for a bit more.
This tends to happen going from 9v9 to 11v11 as someone else stated.

The 07 really had a great thing going, but if your club doesn't participate in high level competition and tournaments (ECNL, DA etc..) then you may lose a few players who are looking for that.

Still wish all of them success and a great season.

In looking at the Susa 2007 team and another poor result at FC Stars tournament What is going on with that team? They were a good team a couple years ago. Now they are mediocre at best.

Last year I had been told they pulled a few kids up to 06, which really impacted the 07 age group. Too bad, because this was a strong team for them two years ago.

ONE player was called up to the 2006 team. Without throwing around specific insults, change is needed for this group of girls. It needs to start from the coach and some of the roster spots. Any one paying half attention can see this. Its okay that your U13 daughter plays on a second team so she can continue to develop.

EM force and the new “ECRL” EM/Farmingdale teams are by far the best teams. Look how well the force did in FC stars and look how awesome the “ECRL”team did in their own tourney!!

Happens everywhere. Watch any group play and you will inevitably see one or two kids who clearly can't keep up and others who are average but get prefered treatment, and you can bet it is because of money or favors owed. So called elite teams are becoming a joke.

Force went 0-3 and didn't score a goal at fc stars in the weaker top bracket.

Honestly, did you ever see Clarkstown play a game? They definitely won a lot but it was actually sad to see a coach employ the tactics he did with kids that young and developing.
