Interesting looking at DA website... not sure if it is a misprint but showing LISC with a U13 team, but FC Fury doesn't get one...

They already bailed on U12.

Still doesn't make sense that LISC is in Atlantic while Fury gets to be in NE.

LISC would have been better off with a U13 team playing NEGDL against NEFC, Oakwood, FC Fury, NYSC etc. than sticking them in GDA in the Atlantic division. Parents could have gotten good competition and less travel for a year.

Only boys still have it and it will probably be on the chopping block soon.

NEGDA doesn’t have a u13 group Got it - so LISC playing in Atlantic means that since that division is adding U13 they have to have their 07 team play there. Again kind of sucks to be slotted into that division and makes very little sense.

So bring it

Fury might need a few speed bumps playing for them since they won’t even have enough players after everyone jumped ship. LISC would run circles around Fury.

PR won't let that happen... that's why he arranged for LISC to play in the Atlantic instead of NE. Didn't want people to be able to compare directly.

It won’t be friendly. Too many can’t stand that 04 team. The few that remain chased more people away then Harvey Weiner did to Hollywood actresses.

Not a Fury or LISC parent, but maybe they wanted to play against some different teams that weren't from the same place they are from. We did a tournament once in Maryland, and we had 2 teams in our bracket from Long Island. It wasn't fear that we were thinking about, more like, we traveled all this way to play the same teams we always play? Just a different perspective.
Anyway, best of luck to all the girls this season!

The travel that is now associated with these "Elite" leagues is nothing short of pathetic at these young ages. Traveling hours upon hours will not develop a kid. What it will do and is doing as they get up there in age is burn them and their families out. Also dollar for dollar its a complete money flush if you plan on getting a ROI.

There's definitely some truth to that. But for some players who are high D1 caliber it will help them. The problem is the for profit clubs like FC Fury. $4,500 a year is the highest around because Paul needs to make money personally. Add in his futsal fee, camp charges, ridiculously inflated fees for a away games, and you are easily at 10k, which doesn't even iclude showcase travel costs. So you'll never have the best players go there.

When do GDA rosters have to be posted? Get a life, why would you care where other people’s kids play? If this is for your own team, look around practice or ask your coach. Some people are complete freaks with way too much time on their hands,
