No friar parent would say that it’s a no-no
Perhaps a new friar parent? Maybe not brand new, maybe someone with a 10th grader? who could big mouth daddy be?
I don't think so...All the top 2022 year players are public school kids and St. A's doesn't really take too many underclassmen on Varsity. Think there was only one 10th grader last year.
All the Fury B players who go to St A think they're making Varsity, might be the first in many $hi+ sandwiches they're going to eat. Wait till they get 10 mins a game at Fury and don't get rostered for some games. They need some humble pie. Then Schmidt will tell them what great futsal players they are.
I can't speak to the quality of the players as I don't know them, but sheer mathematics makes it unlikely.
St. A's Varsity carried 29 players last year-
12-2019 players
16-2020 players
1-2021 player
JVA carried 25 players last year-
21-2021 players
4-2022
The fact that 12 players graduated but their are 21 rising Juniors is going to make it tough for any Sophomore to make Varsity, especially if they weren't on JV "A" last year (which I don't think they were). Regardless, good luck to all the kids-wishing them all a healthy, injury free, successful season!
