Because this is how the soccer world is. Long island has been like that for years. Parents always looking for something better and not realizing what they have in front of them. When our girls are 18 we will realize how stupid we where.
Or perhaps they enjoyed the run and understand that style of soccer doesn't translate to the big field and 11v11. You can't constantly give up possession of the ball and expect to be successful. This works with 12 year old girls who are more prone to mistakes on their own side of the field. The coach is all about winning and less about player development. He's an absolute master at teaching this style and there's no arguing it. His players are great at fielding aerial balls and returning the ball up to the 2 or 3 playmakers up front. If I was a parent of a player at the defense side I would've moved clubs a while ago.
That said - Congrats on the excellent season. Good luck the rest of the way. Represent our state well at regionals.
