The NEW NPL which is now called Regional ECNL. It's the "b" team with a fancy name so no one feels bad and you just keep paying. Will the trainers be the same?

Calling it regional ECNL is really not accurate because you're not getting any of the benefits of the ECNL label. ECNL is Elite Club NATIONAL League. This is Ellie Clubs REGIONAL League. Two totally different things. Its not the ECNL2 alot of people were hoping for. Like others have said, it's just Northeast NPL rebranded

Correct. EM just doesn't have the marketing Susa does. It will be very little to draw players into Susa.

No, this is NOT a new NPL. This is ECNL. It's ECNL because it has the programming in sync with ECNL except for the first year when they do showcases. In year one only the showcases will be separate. Starting in year 2, 2020-2012 all ECNL RL will be together at tournaments and showcases with ECNL.

ECNL RL is in actuality ECNL 2.

Farmingdale will be the ECNL RL teams for EM

If the same teams play, and same players are on those teams, and same coaches coach the same teams, it is the same. The same coaches that used to attend NPL showcases will show up in ECRL.

Why are people calling it ECNL when its clearly ECRL.

If it follows ECNL - will the ECRL teams compete in the champions league? Will they be part of the same ID2 nomination structure? Will they play against ECNL teams during showcases or ECRL teams? If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck - it probably is a duck.

It's not going to be a step up because they will be playing the exact same NE NPL teams, which depending on the age bracket are, in many instances, not very good.

Smithtown is out. Club sent out email to everyone in the club saying that there partnership has ended. The girls will be playing EDP club vs club.

Why do you think I would argue your FACT? Why would you think I care or why would that matter to me? Fact or fiction it is only relevant to the poor kids whose parents got them involved in this craziness between these two clubs.

Great move for Smithtown although technically its USYS National League that they will be playing in. And yes, I know USYS bought EDP last year. But for Smithtown, they will be playing much better competition now.
