Comedian Will Ferrell To Play Soccer-Corrupt Chuck Blazer, HBO

Extremely personable, very capable, flamboyant, and wildly dishonest, you couldn't help but like Chuck Blazer if you met him.

The former general secretary of CONCACAF and former FIFA Executive Committee member, Blazer helped to bring US Soccer and CONCACAF into the modern 20th century but made sure while he was doing so to significantly ingratiate himself financially as a reward for all his good efforts.

Living the life of luxury, Blazer, by way of Forest Hills High School in Queens, New York died at age 72 several years ago of cancer.

Failing to file tax returns, or to file and not declare income, Blazer was handed a lifetime soccer ban from FIFA and was prosecuted by the U.S. for his involvement in the 1998 and 2010 scandalous World Cup bids referred to as FIFAGate. Blazer turned into a federal informant and helped as a whistleblower to topple rampant corruption within FIFA and CONCACAF.

So, with all of that in mind, how can a comedian, Will Ferrell, be cast to portray Chuck Blazer in an upcoming HBO movie?

Easy, if you knew Chuck Blazer.
