cost up front 1500. Then if you get selected for the tourny its 250. If they make the playoffs another 250. then the drive to camp, the pick up from camp. WE did it 3 years. No more. Waste of time, all the good players dont bother anymore anyway and I did not see hardly any coaches at the playoffs anyway. There are more at the showcases at PDA, Jeff cup, etc

Kind of like the player has set up a pre-arranged appointment to be watched. I love players and coaches who say they are playing in a showcase like Massapequa and then there isn't a coach anywhere to be seen. You have to do the all the heavy lifting beforehand to make contact, spur the coaches interest and get them to come watch you. Once a coach is there to watch player X, he might talk to player Y after the game if they stood out. Good luck

They can’t. But they can come out of the DA play school season then go back to the DA. I emailed us soccer and this was the response I got.
It’s up to the club to accept them back.

It’s up to the club to accept them back. In their manual: (1) Players who receive consideration or financial aid to attend a private high school based on their participation with the soccer team are eligible (2) Although clubs are not limited to a specific number of waivers, the number is naturally self-limiting to field a full team throughout the Academy season. (3) Players registered with a Development DA Club will not be allowed to re-enter the program during the same season after participation So if a player decides not to play in the DA so they can play in high school (as long as they meet those requirements) its at the clubs discretion whether or not they will accept them back. Seems fair to me. Unless you are on scholarship to a private school for soccer or your DA team doesn't field a team that season, you cannot simply just play school ball and request to come back. This is my understanding.

Unless PR is willing to let a player come back after the school season?

I don’t really see that any explaining needs to be done If you are a DA player and would like to play school Here is a idea I know it’s very foreign in this day and age Go talk to your coach respectfully about your desires to play for your HS Probably safe to assume of you just skip out and go play school ball you will not be welcomed back
This is a HS school thread
Who are top teams in both sec 8 and sec 11 for the 2018 season ?

Hello,
Thank you for the email. A girls DA player may not play in both environments simultaneously. If a DA player wants to play high school, they will need to leave the DA environment for the entirety of the High School season. If they want to then rejoin the Academy at the conclusion of the season, and their club will have the player back, they are eligible to rejoin.
Thanks,
U.S. Soccer Development Academy

This IS the rules for Part Time Player however, the poster above said his email came from US Soccer so now I am perplexed

Has anyone heard that some of PRs players will be returning in the spring after HS so it will be to the detriment of kids that are now on his rosters

Especially when they come back and the coach benches kids who were starting and having an impact for them and they aren’t good. Ask NYSC. They did it last year and then the majority of the team took there business elsewhere.
