So at this stage, who is the better team between Susa ECNL or East Meadow ECNL? One going up while the other has been going down. I know East Meadow was looking to add Susa's best player this off season which didnt happen. I think they are still the better team.

Hello I’m a Smithtown mom and I was looking for some advise. I had a really bad experience with a trainer and don’t know where to turn.
I had this tainer for a couple of years and he was trusted. I had him drive my daughter some times from point A to point B....
He had taken my daughter from a commack camp to a VOB camp and on the way he stopped at an OTB he didn’t leave her in the car at the age of 13 he brought her in to place his bet(s)
And told her if she ever said anything that she would be in trouble and that she would be off her team.

When my daughter finally told me this I was in tears.
She held this in for more than. A year.
I reported this to LIJSL ... they said the club would handle it I sent emails to the club VOB & Peter Schneider I called Peter many many times. Not one email was returned with any legitimate response other than “I have received your email” LIJSL their was nothing they could do.

1.who looks out for the children?
2 what would you do
3 where do I turn
Dave Phaff is the trainer and I would highly recommend staying very far away from him with behavior like this who knows what he’s capable of. He’s training in lake grove parents beware
Little girls should not be subject to this creep.

Dave Phaff's negative behavior has been posted here often, and a few times by me. Dave has a love of the horses, and some other loves also....the VOB club is well aware of his behavior, but seems to condone it. I would take my complaint to the SCPD, ASAP.

Quite frankly you made a poor choice to let a child be with a trainer alone in an isolated situation. You are luckily that’s all that happened . It’s not about trust it’s about keeping kids out of potentially bad situations. Always be caustious in this world !

First off, I have no love for Phaff, but the story sounds like BS. Secondly, you're an idiot. Why would you let a trainer drive your daughter home? Its your fault. Pick up your own child or make other arrangements dummy,

Chances are this story is a load of crap and you're really one of Phaffs scorned male soccer lovers that followed his every word until you realized he isnt the soccer messiah you thought he was.

I did make a mistake and trusted him so yes my bad.
In no way would I ever expect my kid to be taken to an inappropriate place.
The kicker is “don’t tell anyone”
Then I find out he was drunk at commack with kids on the field.

Knowing Dave Phaff, and having tossed his advertising (Premier Soccer) off BOTN as his shadow lifestyle became known and confirmed by me, I don't doubt at all what this parent has posted. To take this a step further, I did notify the VOB board of directors via email that BOTN will not be accepting tryout posts for any VOB teams until this creep is removed from their club. I sent this notice in 2017....

As an educator of children, standard rule 101 is not to leave yourself alone with a minor under any circumstances so you are not open to these types of accusations.

Larry, is Dave still with VOB or is he over at Lake Grove now?

I have no idea as I dont follow him, but if he is at lake Grove that would be consistent with the Lake Grove Executive Bunch management, especially in light of an equally disturbing club president James park. I can see Park and Tim Graham embracing a person of Phaff's character. My opinion of all 3 of these guys are acting walking and talking pervs that should not be interacting with minors.

Just wow. How can you leave a teenage daughter, none the less, with a trainer or anyone with the same type of association. Larry, please contact CPS immediately.

it is almost too much to be believable. Rule #1 is never leave your kid with anyone alone and for the trainer they should be taught to never BE alone with a kid. If not for LM's subsequent confirmation that this dude's character is so poor I would have thought this was someone with a grudge.

My guess is the LGN Phx will part ways after this season. The addition of "Dave's Girls" now has more meaning than before. With their top player leaving for Susa during the offseason, the floodgates are open. Get away from this guy as quick as you can!!!

Maybe they help him pick his horses at the OTB ?

Sounds like your daughter got cut and now your having a tough time with it . Stopping at OTB really isn’t that serious .theres kids in there all the time. As far as the Phoenix they may end up splitting up as the new VOB girls have taken over the playing time and quite frankly aren’t any good . There all LIJSL players at best. And unless the players and parents wake up it’s gonna be over fast

Oh and btw, VOB, LGN etc are basically ALL "LIJSL players at best" just like almost every other town team on Long Island. A couple of fast kids, a couple of big kids and a couple of above average athletic kids. And that's fine because it's a game that 13 year old little girls are playing...

Best kid left for Susa??? That's just not true at all. Good player but not the best. She will pay susa a ton of money now and still wont be Mallory Pugh. Good decision? I don't think.. Larry please tell about James park suspect backround. don't like the guy and would love to know

Yes the best player on Phoenix. Hands down! There is no one on that team that comes close. Just because she was smart enough to leave and you are stuck listening to how great the coaches daughter is doesnt mean you should not be realistic. No one on that team comes close to the player who left. We are happy to have her!

There’s only one reason you guys didn’t win 7-2 against lgn last year and it surely wasn’t her. You have the film , you pay for it watch it. Just a non factor. Watch and you will learn the best player and I think she’s in 4th grade. Smart !you guys are so smart to pay a ton of money that in 10 years you won’t get back. Hopefully you get that college scholarship or you’ll be paying for college twice!!And forget the coaches daughter she’s a total non factor

Haha!! The coaches daughter so true . That guy needs a wake up call.. its over for that one. I also don’t think she was s the best player on that team by any stretch but yes she was a very good player.
