larry does this mean we can still play in the eny state cup and not have to play in lij or do we still have to play in lij

This means you no longer have to play in LIJ if you are accepted into EDP, and you can still be eligible to play in the ENY state cup. It also means that you will register directly with EDP and not LIJSL.

Furthermore, you can still register and play in the NYCSL and it's various leagues, the NY Cup, and basically have your soccer cake and eat it too...

There really isn't that much difference except now you have an alternative USYSA registration avenue via EDP, and by-passing LIJSL. EDP is rubbing their tuchas competing with LIJSL, and NYCSL can still be utilized as before. A win-win for teams...not so much for LIJ. My 2 cents.

EDP used to be under US Club - so different cards. How about now?

I don't believe you will be able to play both LIJ and EDP. You can play LIJ and NYCSL, or play NYCSL & EDP.
