SUSA Academy Announces The Acquisition of International Soccer Academy in Smithtown

Smithtown, NY –SUSA Soccer announces today the acquisition of the former "International
Soccer Academy" on Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown. The new indoor location in Smithtown
will be the home for our Bright Future's programming. Our Bright Futures Development
Model (K-2 grade) was created to give future soccer players a chance to enjoy and succeed
in today's youth soccer environment. This program will guide the youth soccer player to
develop all the skills required to make their path to success fun and enjoyable. The
Smithtown location will also house our new strength, speed and agility programs providing
another resource to our Academy players.

SUSA Soccer ownership expects the addition of the Smithtown indoor facility to continue to
expand their reach and assist in their support efforts of local youth soccer community clubs
and those children first looking to explore our beautiful game for the first time. Access to the
game continues to be a top priority for SUSA in addition to providing a programming model for
players of all ages and abilities.

"In addition to the recent announcement of our development plan for our new Central Islip location,
the acquisition of the former "International Soccer Academy" in Smithtown is another step towards
providing our members and future members an unmatched developmental infrastructure within the
Long Island Youth soccer landscape. We continue to do things differently by providing significant
infrastructure and opportunity for our players, teams and affiliate clubs. The goal of a true pathway
for player development on long Island through SUSA Soccer is again strengthened with today's news.
Our vision to create an elite platform for player development with state of the art facilities across Long
Island with an accredited and dedicated coaching staff takes another step forward today. We are also
very excited about upcoming announcements regarding future programming initiatives." -Moussa Sy,
President & Director of Coaching, SUSA Soccer

About SUSA
SUSA offers sports programming for youth athletes from ages 18 months -18 years at
multiple Long Island locations. They also offer adult programming at both of their indoor Long
Island facilities. SUSA's coaching methodology is aimed at developing technique and game
intelligence through both simple and complex game situations. SUSA's current indoor
facilities are located in Lindenhurst and Hauppauge.

Long Island Soccer just lost a great training facility where boys and girls of all ages received top notch training. Domianos will definitely be missed.

Give us all a break. Damianos is a nasty condescending prick. If this facility was so great and Domianos offered top notch training, he would still be there instead of going belly-up as BOTN reported last year. Good riddance of this guy, but I'm sure he is still running his greatness mantra to a few teams.

In the original post it’s says that Susa has programs from 18 months to 18 years ..... look above . What are they doing with 18 MONTH Old TODDLERS ? How much is this program ? Good grief , that Alittle young don’t you think ?? In the world of dance , they won’t take your money until you’re 3 yrs of age .

He plays in NYCSL Premier not NPL, not Metro, not Academy, not DA
he has a lot of fun too
Maxes out in AP classes in high school too.

My post was not a knock against SUSA quality of training or the club.
Rather its a knock on their marketing as an "Academy" when they are not DA. I threw in the other names to point out how ridiculous including the word "Academy" is in their name.....surely they would rather be included in the same list as NPL clubs as opposed the list i posted or the Div 1 EDP clubs

So just chill not a shot at your team. Enjoy the season.

When Susa gets into a League that matters please post it.

Until that time they are still irrelevant!

18 months old is not too young. The child should be toilet trained by then and getting involved in a physical activity will certainly help their coordination, while also exercising the child.

Why make fun of this? Do just let your kid lay around? No, you don't, and as a former Mr. Mom, two times over, I found this also helps with a child's social skills, and this negative blabber is simply, well babyish.

18 months to pay someone to teach soccer- come on Larry - at what point is enough enough. This is just total nonsense but if there is a sucker willing to pay then I guess why not

I think the part you don't get is the exercise and interaction with other children part. It really isn't about soccer at 18 months. I think you taking this a little bit too literal.

Let's just admit most of what will happen at 18 months even up to 4 is just babysitting. There is a big business for that so smart of them to include it. They can say soccer training and I am sure they will include it, but the kids at that age are more worried about if the snack is a good one and having fun with other kids. It's a great facility, beside the turf there is a track and multiple rooms that can be used for lots of things. I wish Susa much luck as long as they keep it about the kids.

Agreed. No negatives associated with the purchase. Susa will fix it up nice. ISA had some sort of day care program there aswell. Mommy and me type of program.
