Just wondering why ECNL teams are playing town teams? I know it's the east meadow tournament but really ECNL playing town teams? Seems no competition for them and I guess they will win every bracket

No Ecnl teams outside of EM would do this tournament. And EM makes them do it, have to get more money. They don't even give a scholarship for the U18 division anymore. No better than HBC Commack or Northport tournaments even though they try to make it like it's a big deal.

EM teams participate in the EM tournament. What's so hard to understand or controversial about that? Stop looking for an angle.

Scoring 10 points in a game is not practice! ecnl teams should win but really 10 -0 is not going to get teams to come back. I know I wouldn't be back!

How many divisions did EM win? ECNL or not they are still a town team. Susa dominated this tourney!

I saw that. WTF is that about??? smashing up a rec.team 10-0??? Coach must have pretty low self esteem and morals to do that. Maybe he is compensating?

Two schools of thought. Some divisions only had one flight (i.e. U15 girls, so it's no surprise Surf ran away with it playing against teams ranked in the 60's). Flip side is if I'm a rec team and looked at the tournament history, it's easy to see the caliber of teams in it. Should ECNL teams be in it - EM the only ones participating? Probably not, but it is their tournament so they have to. The question you should ask is why no other ECNL club participates. That says volumes about what they think of EM.

Thanks to the way EM treats people this tournament went from being a pretty good preseason affair to something resembling a Jekyll and Hyde experience depending on the age group. In the older age groups there are not enough teams to properly seed so ECNL teams playing town teams in the same bracket is unavoidable but the EM could be certainly be better hosts on the field. They don't have to win 10-0 and don't have to be overly physical with players that are obviously not at their level athletically or strength wise. Injuries are unavoidable in soccer but rough play when you are going to win by five is simply being a terrible host. The ECNL kids and parents don't want to be there so its a rough day to begin with but taking the foot off the accelerator for obviously lower competition would be a good management directive if they had any leadership.

Does it? Or does it say that ECNL allow HS and its pointless entering Club tournaments at this time ?

Then why is Discovery Cup in early Oct so big? Let's not use HS as an excuse. EM tournament is a shell of what used to be. So why no other ECNL clubs coming at U14, or pre-ECNL at U13?

Most better teams will be at Disney instead this year. Shame as 3-4 years ago it was very good. At U15 and above the only one that still attract are CASL,Disney and Jeff Cup. To a lesser extent Bethesda but even that has dropped off.

When are the ECNL Schedules coming out? Why is it taking so long this year?

That's for a National showcase. ECNL clubs have their schedules. Trolls do not.

Is Albertson Girls ECNL officially dead? ECNL just held their showcase in Florida. Three Albertson teams attended, playing three games each:

U16 - 3 losses (11 goals conceded)
U17 - 2 losses, 1 tie
U18 - 3 losses (12 goals conceded)

Knew their program was gonna take a hit when Mr. Riley took all the better Albertson ECNL players for his FC Fury DA, however he replaced those players with...... Looking at those results we can figure out what he replaced them with, sub par talent.
