Is Stony Brook going to field two or one team next season. Sachem should be the favorite in D1 if SB girls sign with them. Or maybe they are thinking about playing at Smithtown and making Sachem coach wait before they sign??????

The Sachem coach provides the right mix of competitiveness and fun for the team.

Yes he does, he does everything around *deleted*

Out this child again and you are history!! Got that schmuck!

WOW!!! Guess what folks... the person defending the Sachem coach is the one complaining about TG. What a surprise. Now I get it.. you are trying to get players eh? Now everyone knows what your agenda is. So who are you, the coach, a parent or trainer? What an ass, each one of the posts defending Sachem is the same one bashing the good guy! SNAG! You are now a vague memory.. gone! We won't be missing you.

You seem real interested in SB ? They will lose 3 players .So they should be fine . All I know is the coach is from a city college. Stay tuned . All will be at tryouts next week.

Syosset will definetly advance those teams are weak.

I would say they should win the whole tournament. Smtihfield and PDA will be their only competition.

I heard that Mt. Laurel team spanked Leittown pretty good. I also heard the team from maryland is one of the best in the country. And then there's always the Virginia State champs that somehow got past the VSA Heat that beat Levittown 5-0 recently. I think the competition seems pretty tough. PDA and Smithfield are very good teams too. I can't see Syosset being the favorite, although they could do well I am sure. They did pretty well last year.

Have to agree Syosset looks to have a good shot at getting out of the bracket. They will have to get past Syracuse in my opinion. The winner of the Syosset/ Syracuse game should be a semi finalist.

A - D Groups play in the semi finals. Have to go with the PDA Celtic out of group A wouldn’t count out Lower Merion heart

SB will likely have 1 team. The SB Lightning's Coach (A Team) bolted to HBC with a number of players. B Team, The Courage will become the Lightning with 1/2 the kids from each team.

As they always do in big tournaments!
Let's see them step up and win it all.
Good luck. Make Long Island proud. Have a safe trip.

Syosset should get out of their group but I don't think they will get any further. The other top team are a bit stronger.

CJ,
Is there any chance to set up a separate board for the Premiere teams that are not playing in LIJSL any more. No offense to them, but their discussion dominates this board, and those of us who are still in LIJSL dont really care. How about 3 separate boards in this age group: Premeire, Div 1-4, and Div 5-8.?

Which one would this one be as it is already here? Making threads for the others is doable but will not stop them from posting here, FYI. You can also sign in and make a thread yourself. Let me know what you want. This one D1-5?

Leave it as is. Too big of a gap with 1-4 and 5-8 and a premier only....

I think that you are right. If someone wishes to create another thread, they can do so. They will merge here anyway, is past experience.

Any other teams, merging, folding, etc. I am not sure if it is rumor or truth, but I heard Valley Stream is folding. I also think it is a good idea to at least split premiere from the LIJSL.

A favorable draw doesn't always equate to success. Look at Levittown in the State Cup this year....creampuff draw with one good team and they couldn't get it done. They were a huge favorite before the draw came out and even more so after the brackets came out. Syosset really earned their State Championship year with the toughest draw. You just never know.
