Since when did BOTN become the advocate for any team that thinks they have been placed in the wrong division?

If you can open the PDF file to find out what division you are in, your team's coach should be more than capable of contacting your division coordinator to discuss your case. Grab the phone and call your coach; if you are the coach, call the division coordinator directly.

The contact details follow :

Boy's U16 Division Coordinator Cathy Alarcon 631-654-4329

(Hint : Fall season results in LIJSL are ignored when it comes to placing Spring teams in the older age groups. Further, we would be willing to bet that many teams came back to play in the Spring season only.)

Is there any posting of the updated LIJSL spring alignments? I'm hearing there will be a BU15 division 1A. Sounds ridiculous if true.

Yes, there is a Division 1A

The updated alignments are actually the Waldbaum's Brackets...look at the numers to the left of the team. The BU15 Major bracket link is http://www.backofthenet.com/waldbaums_2010/BU15MAJOR.pdf

can anyone explain how these alignments are drawn up. It seems as though there is one set of parameters set up for the upper divisions and then towards the bottom geography plays a larger role. Wouldn't it be more consistent to just put all teams in their proper divisions (even if if means having a divison 11) and letting the results on the field determine the divisional placement. just a thought

The rules are:
1. There are no rules
2. The alignment meeting lasts one hour and the after party goes on all night.(At the condo that our dues
pay for)
3. Anything below division two is not worth delaying the party for.
