LISRA Referee Guidelines for Scoring Sportsmanship Points

Basic Scoring:  (Coach/es Cooperation, Player Cooperation, Parents  Cooperation and Overall Game Conduct)

• 9 - 10 Points    Highly supportive SPORTING behavior demonstrated

• 7 -  8  Points    Mostly supportive SPORTING behavior demonstrated

• 5 -  6  Points    Some noticeable supportive SPORTING behavior demonstrated

• 3 -  4  Points    General noticeable UNSPORTING behavior demonstrated

• 1 -  2  Points    General UNSPORTING behavior demonstrated

Basic Uniform Scoring:

• 5 - Points    Uniforms that are EXCELLENT in appearance

• 4 - Points    Uniforms that are VERY GOOD in appearance

• 3 - Points    Uniforms that are GOOD in appearance

• 2 - Points    Uniforms that are FAIR in appearance

• 1 - Points    Uniforms that are POOR in appearance

Automatic Point Reduction:

• Deduct 5 Points from Coach Cooperation if team Roster Forms are NOT COMPLETELY FILLED OUT.  This includes: Name of Home Team, Name of Away Team, Supervisor's Name, Boys/Girls, Age Divisions, Players Pass Numbers, Uniform Numbers and Names of Players,

• If either a Player or Adult Supervisor receives TWO YELLOW CARDS, resulting in a send off, the TEAM TOTAL IS "0" POINTS.

• If Three (3) or more YELLOW CARDS are issued to a team player and/or adult supervisors during a match, the TEAM TOTAL IS "0" POINTS.

In Scoring, the Referee should answer the following questions:

• Did the Adult Supervisor(s) display positive reinforcement to his/her team and were they respectful to the referee ?

• Were the Parents/Spectators respectful of the referee and did they display sporting behavior towards the opposition ?

• Were the Players respectful of the referee and did they display sporting behavior towards his or her own team and the opposing team ?

Unless a "0" is issued to a team due to card accumulations, please place the appropriate scores next to each of the categories when issuing a team's Sportsmanship Points.

Fill out the Sportsmanship forms AFTER you have returned the SIGNED ROSTER  FORMS [yellow (bottom) copy] to each of the opposing coaches.

DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE of filling out the Sportsmanship forms before handing out the respective ROSTER FORMS to the coaches.
