The fact of the matter is that UDel's women's program is a lifetime .500 performer under Coach Grzenda. The other fact is that UDel is highly prized (for some unknown academic reason) by students from the New York/Long Island region.

Our suggestion should your daughter still be interested in the school would be to contact one of the assistants for a direct conversation. However, our feeling is that you should want your daughter to be part of a program where she was wanted. If you have five Division I programs to consider with comparable academics (or better) on offer, it would seem that your path forward is clear.

Yes I agree. She is over Delaware, and is almost ready to make her decision to a school she likes better (better program and strong academically in her desired field). I have just been holding her back to visit a few more schools. The process is so early, I want her to be sure. Another school that used the camp route for money was UConn. We went to a camp there in the spring, and they said they were interested and wanted to see more of her, and suggested we come to their summer camp. Went there, and my daughter sent two emails after Sept 1 asking for feedback, and no response. I don't get the no response thing. All she wanted was feedback good or bad. To not respond after we shelled out money for two camps and travelled 3 hours to get there and back twice, is just incredibally rude and inconsiderate!
