[b]Fall 2012 Div 1 Predictions
Dix Hills White, Merrick Storm, Kings Park Kickers, NHP Firecats, Farmingdale X-Treme, Commack Pride, Smithtown Crimson Tide, East Islip Fury, Garden City Crusaders, NPT/CH X-treme

I believe Kings Park is the only D1 team not playing in East Meadow.

Some of these are NPL Girls and some are NPL Boys. Either way, to answer you have to know exactly which team is playing in the NPL. Some are putting in their A team. Many are putting in the B team. Some of the clubs have teams in the USYS leagues which is where their A teams are playing. So need to know which team first.

Go to NPL website - they only list clubs - no team names. This is done on purpose so you never know which team is really showing up to compete. In some cases these clubs do not even have teams at certain age groups and are "renting" a team for the season.

Boys Academy and Girls ECNL are the top programs - NPL is a major drop off.

misinformation all around. A teams only carded under US Soccer. Some clubs will card additionally to play US youth(using that carding system).. clubs that don't have a team in a particular age group can card another team under their colors. i.e..If Hicksville decided they didn't want to play RPL at u12, they could card under the colors of an NPL club. Maximum flexibility to attract the best teams...ECNL still a step up but depending how the NPL handles their business in the next couple of years, it could mean some serious competition

Now that we got all that cleared up let me rephrase my original question. We all know the Long Island teams, does anybody have any feel for the strength of some of the NJ and upstate teams. I do know NJ crush is a strong group.

Why are you worrying about every team in D1?
You should worry about your daughter’s team and leave everyone else alone. Who cares who you think will finish first or last. I am sure you will not be right with your picks. All the teams in D1 are good teams who deserve to be there.

My daughters team has been practicing all summer and will not finish where you have them. S1 had a lot of good teams and only the best made it to D1.

Predictions/Ranking are a waste.

It's impossible to say. With the expanded rosters due to the move to the larger fields, the very large allowable roster size for the NPL teams, and the lure of joining one of these NPL teams, the teams will have changed too much from Spring to Fall to make any predictions.

Players and teams can be dual carded. They can play LIJSL with ENY cards and US Club for NPL. So Brentwood can play both with Player overlap. NPL Players can play LIJSL. For example : You can play LIJSL as Firecats and NPL as Brentwood Academy.

NPL for U12 only plays 8v8 format (keeper plus 7 field players) and play on a 3/4 field with 3/4 goals. LIJSL plays 11v11 on full field and full size goals.
