The point was that Adidas is an old tired brand to the kids, especially girls. Yes they have deep pockets to buy teams and athletes to wear them but they are not the first brand a boy or girl wants to wear.

Brands like Nike and Puma are much more desirable to the youth.

Adidas is to soccer as Lincoln is to cars. The primary customer is old and dying off.

I feel bad when I see a girls club in Adidas when the girls across the board would prefer Puma or Nike.

and BTW Brooks and Asics are the top running brands.

The point really was about the sacrifices we as parents make for our children out of love and support for them to play the game they love and WE love to watch them play. wink Sis
PS- I actually thought this would be a fun thread that could give us all a few relatable laughs.

Why would anyone wear Adidas in this day and age?

Whenever I see teams with Adidas uniforms I know some old man is making the buying decisions.

numbnuts Addidas is worn by some pretty good players and teams. It's Ok they are not a US company. The world does not revolve around Nike, unless you are a runner.

Asics owns the volleyball market...dont know much 'bout Brooks. Brooks seems like a brand usually worn by some stodgy dude who seems like he needs a beating!

This might be the most asinine posts I've have read on here. Besides being completely off the topic.

in my humble opinion, no soccer cleats can beat the comfort and ease of the adidas copa mundial. my kid won't wear any other after i introduce her to the classic black and white 4 yrs ago. watch the top teams in kids soccer and i'll bet 70% of the players in the team wears adidas copa mundial. and btw, those plastic nike's are though when they play on turf.. that's were most of the ACL problems come from turf and plastic cleats.

man, when your kid grows up and if ever becomes one of the top players on their age you'll eat your words. they will be asking you to buy them adidas cleats. the 100 dollar classic adidas cleats. i know younger kids are attracted to colorful cleats.. it's cool right? when they get more technical they will look for cleats that brings comfort and good ball handling. in time you will understand newbie.
