What a weak D1 this fall - soccer on LI is in big trouble - to many leagues - to many clubs - to much talent spread around -to much money to be made - player development being pushed to the back so adults can make a living off of youth soccer players - I can only hope for the return of a simpler time when young kids were allowed to play just for the sake of playing and if by chance some talent was shown , real training would take place when the kids were developmentally ready (14+)

I agree. "Hey Kool Aid". A lot of you are drinking it quite a bit in GU13. Have fun driving from Nassau or Suffolk county all the way to LaGrange or somewhere in New Jersey. I am laughing out loud.

Don't you think your jealousy is a little transparent?

With what is left in LIJ, it made sense to have a 6 team D1 so that everyone plays each other twice. Looking at it, there are no teams in D2 that have a beef that they were not put into D1; let them play the fall and then see who emerges as the next teams to go D1

If the better teams need to travel to play better / different competition - most are willing to do it as opposed to playing the same teams year in and year out. Sounds like you are justifying your teams inability to compete at a higher level by the travel issue - good try though.
Good luck at the EM tournament -competition looks real strong - LOL!

You should look at the teams in the RPL - you think they are better then the teams here on LI ? Commack and EI finished middle of the pack last year - Brentwood and EM were d2 teams - and average ones at best - There is a bigger fish to fry here and that is the demise of LIJ - If you think clubs are jumping for any other reason you are wrong -

Isn't the "bigger fish to fry" have more to do with trying to come up with an answer to The ECNL. Creating an NPL club league will hopefully stop a possible mass exodus of the older better female players to the ECNL.Something that the ECNL is hoping for.

An because the NPL is allowed to take on whole teams into their club, The RPL which is more team focused becomes sort of the farm system of sorts for the NPL. The better teams in the RPL may look to move over to an NPL club that does not have a good team at that age group. To me it seems like a business model that trying to neutralize The ecnl-at least a bit,and uses the RPL as their farm system. And of course improve the soccer experience along the way.

Hey Kool Aid,
Your daughters don't care who she plays and how often. You Do,
and your careers are over.
150 miles round trip on a rainy October day. That would be funny if you drove there and the game gets rained out. Hurry back, you have a lacrosse game.
Brilliant!

P.S. There is enough talent on Long Island. Don't be fooled. Come back in the Spring. We think your crazy for leaving but we still love ya.
