Enough about East Meadow! There are many teams in Nassau and Suffolk who have good programs and girls to make for an exciting fall season regardless ofthe divisions. Wish them well in their new league and move on already!

One more about East Meadow, and simply from curiosity; do they still have two teams? Are both doing RPL?

If we want to talk about other teams, does anyone know anything about the new CJSL teams?

I have a vested interest in D2 (Nassau), anyone care to share their opinion on that division? Someone already said it should be a real tight race (something I agree with) but does anyone have a different opinion? A team that we should look out for?

Still not sure who is doing LIJSL plus any of the other leagues out there, anyone have any insights there?

For those who are doing multiple leagues (kudos) how do you plan to handle the extra travel and games? Especially if you have other kids?

Looks like the EM Power team is in NYCSL U11 Silver division, so EM does still have two teams.

For the fall, looks like slightly less than 10 teams doing both LIJ and NYCSL. There could be players, though, playing LIJ with one team and NYCSL with academy teams.

Finally, some could argue that they were the top 10 in Nassau U10 in the Spring. With LIC Cup, they had a record of 10-2-1 in the Spring 2012 (no idea how they did in any other tourney games)...Yes I would definitely call this a strong team.
We played them in D2. Massapequa was the best team to me, but there was not much separation between them and the next 2, which were HBC and East Meadow, so I would agree with your assessment.

Agreed. There are elitists on here who think if a team isn't a 0 or 1 loss team in D1, they are not a strong team. The word "strong" is relative.

EM defeated D1 Sachem twice in tournaments/cups, defeated D1 Levittown in the Massapequa tournament, played a very tight game against East Islip in the Manhattan tournament and won the LI Cup. To say they are not a strong team is silly. [/quote
I agree100% maybe you left the team for your own personal reasons but not bc they
were not good!

D2 is really a toss up. I have seen at least 6 of these teams play. If they were to play 3 seasons in a row with the same 10 teams, I think there would be 3 different division winners and possibly 3 different runner ups. We'll see how many games end up in ties and how many games are won by 1 goal at the end of the season. I would say this, there are 2 teams that are unlikely to come in the top 5 next season in Div 2 based on assessing their past season. GC & LV. I think any of the other 8 teams could finish 1-2. It will be fun to watch how it all plays out. I would be interested in reading other comments if someone makes a case for the 2 teams who will emerge 1-2 and head to Division 1 for U11 Springtime.

D3 is really competitive, its going to be very hard for any of the teams to make the climb to division 2 because the division is so competitive. Just proves that if you were misplaced in the spring being put too low by the lijsl cracker jack staff and you didnt run away with your d3/d4/d5 division your climb back to the top d1/d2 is going to be very tough. Need to get to d2 if you want top 4 at the merge.

Agreed, I don't see a whole lot of 'easy' games in N2. I've liked what I've seen in RVC, they seem all around solid. Massapequa usually plays a good solid game. Carle Place has some talented players, and one very good player. POB and Farmingdale were both Nassau Major teams, looking to climb back up. Wantagh doesn't seem to give up a lot of goals, but that was in N3.

If I had to pick one I would go for RVC, but it really seems to be a toss up.

Watch the Massapequa team in N3, they seemed to get better and better last season, they may surprise a few folks. Don't know the teams coming up from N4 that well (Plainedge, Albuttsun, CJSL) so not sure how they will do. Bellmore looked good but people seem to be saying that they lost a number of girls.

Alot of Nassau talk on here.

Any predictions on S1 and S2? I think its a 2 team division in S1 with EI and Commack and then the rest fall back in the 500 range.

EI looks like the team to beat.
