He took a perfectly good environment and formed another team within their age group to compete against them. By doing this he created the opinion that there would only be one team - pitched parents and kids against each other and ultimately a team that has been togeather for the last three years had to fold.
LIJ not better in that they let the club get away with it as it was all done in season and 6 of the original starters from the original team are on the new team.....does not make any sense.
End result Net New.... only ONE team and 10 players left without a team all in last week before registration closed = Ass Move by all

What does LIJ have to do with Carlos (GCP)? if he gets pissed he will go off to JSS and do the same thing. It is up to the parents to decide whether the coach/trainer is good for their kids.

carlos is a bum and needs to be displayed to others he is about the money.

It's like saying an adult man plays softball in the Central Park league. And, yes, we are hoping that he really isn't coaching the team this year - but he promised that last year too.

It's POACHING plain and simple and LIJS turned its head as its so blatent and does not want to respond to the complaint.

Now, who are you going to complain to at LIJ? A volunteer (if they answer their phone) who is clueless and is just following the marching orders of, of, of who? Joan Czach? Joan Connor?

I want to know how a team can finish U14 5W in fifth place and move to divion 3?

Gary Grossman will not do anything about poaching in his league because it already has happened. At LIJ you do have the committees that do take care of the poaching, you should know that.

You have just won the dumbest post of the week award. Gary doesn't poach. gary isn't a parent or a coach. Does Granny or Joannie poach? LIJ has a committee? You must be even dumber than your post above to think the committee is effective.

I know Gary's success is pissing off a lot of people. Tough [****] as we say in the school yard. Perhaps if you had a better team or to be more precise you were a better coach kids wouldn't be leaving you.

Per-chance you are all bent out of shape that US Club Soccer allows Gary a/k/a NYCSL to sanction training academies and training businesses to become full clubs with the same powers as traditional clubs. Maybe you think that is poaching and if it is, it is perfectly legal. No one owns a youth player. Deal with it. It is the new face of soccer and it is here to stay.

And thats why they (LIJS) have turned their head - 6 players taken from one GCP team Div 4 and put on a new team and two taken and put on another team - all done last week of season - All in same Club and Age Group - That's 8 - Oh and to make matters worse the new team is starting at Div 2 level - it's sad.
