Larry or CJ, are the LIJSl alignemnts ready?

Will there be JSS/NYCSL threads as well or will the age groups be a combination of JSS/NYCSL and LIJSL?

Did the whole top end of this age group, division 1 leave LIJ?

RPL? It will be interesting to see the RPL & NPL alignments to get the full picture. Another week I'm told

NPL is already there, 12 teams each age bracket, nothing will change. Top 5 D1 except Lions went to NPL and RPL. Mass already in NPL besides East Meadow, Brentwood, North Babylon (Now HOTA) and HBC. Lake Grove, Alberts Blue and Syosset went to RPL, better competition.

Better competition in RPL? You make it sound like LG, Albert, and Syosset are better than the the teams you listed in the NPL league.

Larry, why Gottschee is playing the the RPL white bracket. They should be in the blue???? Also, is RPL using August 01 for the age cut? if this is true why Gottschee 99 is playing in RPL u13, that team has kids born in January 1999 and on meaning they should be playing in u14 this fall?

LG will play Nerp or ENY Premier next Spring so the team is not returning to LIJSL after Fall

RPL is using the August 01 age cut?

Aacording to the nyc website they are using the August cut instead of January so I do not know why BWG 99 is in the u 13, they should be in u14

What is the deal with the EDP league? If you look at it it says its part of the NPL but it's not clear how it fits with NPL and RPL. Smithtown is a member of EDP but is playing LIJSL--very confusing.

Question remains unanswered. What is the deal with EDP?

HBC is not on the championship bracket in the spirt cup, Aguila is going to have it tough

Smithtown is a poor team. They are a team that never got going and opened doors to lots of outside mediocre players that came from folding teams like the spurs. They did not improve with the influx and they just can't get out of their own way. Only one or two really fine players hold the team together. Parents and coches are fine but just a bit too self congratulatory. They do know, if you ask them on a one to one basis, that theyr team is really just average and work on that premise. I really don't think they are posturing that they are a great team and perhaps they are playing LIJSL to get some game experience and playing time. Nothing wrong with it.

Poor team is being kind. The team has been, and is still, mis-managed. All top players left. Look at their seeding for the EMSC tournament. Team will have trouble drawing talented players in the future. Definitely not Div.1/2 or premier players. Team will not hold together too long.

I'm not an expert but I have some time to kill and I'm going to break some of the teams down oh and my son plays on one of the top teams on LI.

Aguila- Hands down the best team on Long Island and one of the top in the region, they have a tough task this upcoming weekend playing the Number 1 ranked team in the country. Many thought they would have folded by now but they have managed to keep the boys together and most of all the top player is still there. Aguila is a joy to watch they have talent.

United- Solid athletic team try to play soccer but against the better teams they just can't hang. I know they have defeated Aguila but when they play Aguila controls the game and United manages to hang on and at times steals a game. United has lost one of there better defenders but i think over rated they will be fine. They always get new players and never really maintain one group of kids for to long. The spirit Cup will be a good test for them but i don't see them coming out of there group.

East Meadow- Never really plays out of state and can't beat United or Aguila. They Compete against the weeker competition but not really a premier team. They have tried to get the right mix of players like United but have struggled in the process. The East Meadow tournament will be to much competition for them and will not make it out of there group unless they picked 2 or 3 top players.

What about Massapequa? They are a top team on LI!

Albuttsun does not set the ages for their teams. Those are set by leagues and tournaments. Therefore look at where the Albuttsun teams the one's in LIJ are Aug- Aug unless they are spefically the team that plays in the Pre-academy league, which is Jan-Jan. And the Albuttsun USSF pre-academy team is highly unlikely to play in LIJ! So Lions are comparable in age, as are the Albuttsun team in the U14 RPL

What about Massapequa? They are a top team on LI!

Why don't you just say what you think of the team in real world not fantasy land. Massapequa is a good team that plays real soccer

Massapequa is average at best. Not exactly top tier, they never have been and never will.

How the long teams do in the spirit cup?

Brentwood and Alberts 99 both 3th place of 4th in their bracket (top.) United just consolation and Mass went to semi in the 2nd tier bracket........Brentwood not almighty anymore

I'm from PA and I had the pleassure to watch Aguila play against VA the top team in the country and i guess a few other hundred people as well. Aguila VS VA turned heads and without exaggerating the sidelines we filled with people

Teams use guest players in tournaments, using a few players from your own club is like not even having guest players. w0w.. you guys need to give it a rest..

RPL Regional Premier League: Albuttsun blue,LG, Syosset.......even though LG won over NB (the only team in D1 who beat NB) and beat Alberts blue.... last season, I think LG and Syosset are not premier level neither....yet.......

Yes LI cup but 3th bracket called Inter B (div 4,5,6). Challenge cup Div 3,4 and 5 teams. 8 teams from LI are not playing LIJSL so now div 3 is like div 4, div 2 is like div 3 so forth and so on.....so hold your horses.....I know you win over Lions (div 1) but half Lions team left last month

New Lions did really bad in EM tournament. Last place in the 3th bracket, only 1 draw.....against D3,d4 teams. long season in Fall D1......

Some Mass parents get upset when someone says that Mass is not a premier team....be real.....Mass is not a premier team, maybe a Regional premier team but not National premier level........

Smithtown jumped up 2 levels to play with top group at East Meadow - what were they thinking?? LOL...delusional. Poor kids got smacked down for their poor decision. Some parents should not coach soccer - it is more about them, than the kids. Wake up.

Not that bad for a D2 team. Smmity lost only 2-3 against the new North babylon now Hota. Also beat a d2 NJ team. I think Hota is the 3th best team in LI now with all the kids they got.....(Alberts blue tie in 3th)....4th EM....and 5th hard to say may be Mass......of course Brentwood 1st and United 2nd.....

You are seriously mentioning Smithtown with these other teams? Ok, coach - you should do well in division 2 against the teams you are playing; but be serious, you are NOT a division 1 and especially NOT a PREMIER TEAM. BTW, how about that 8-1 beating by Brentwood - and your only win was vs. a weak Westfield team. Have a nice season.

Not even worth the words, but like all scrimmages United mixed it up, different positions, players were hurt, missing a few starters, coach away,guest keeper,no ref,no offsides,etc.... EI played well, good luck to them.
