The GU-12 Bethpage Rockets have room for a couple of players (any position) who want to be part of a talented re-building process. We are looking for highly motivated, dedicated and talented players to help contribute to the success, growth, and promotion of the team.

The Rockets are currently in Division 7, but are playing under a new coaching staff next season which has already added a mix of experienced higher division players and new players with great potential who will be playing their first year of travel. The new coaching staff is bringing in over 30 years soccer experience and nearly 20 championship titles. We are looking to develop talent from committed players who really enjoy the game of soccer and want to improve their skills while having fun.

2012/2013 Team Schedule

1) Team training workouts during the month of July (about 2-3)
2) Summer practices every Tuesday and Thursday beginning July 31st
3) 1-2 Summer Tournaments (East End, LI Shootout, Covanta)
4) 1-2 Seasonal Tournaments (NH Cup, Northport Columbus Day, Memorial Day)
5) Fall practices every Tuesday and Thursday from September through mid-November
6) Indoor training/practices approximately once per week from December through February
7) Indoor soccer league – either Paul Slick at Hofstra or Striker Soccer in Freeport (weekend games)
8) Spring practices every Tuesday and Thursday from March through June

In addition, we use a professional team trainer once per week for field training. We also provide a very experienced goalkeeping trainer to provide intense training for all our goalkeepers (and for those who care to learn more about the position).

So if you missed out on other tryouts and still want to be part of a committed soccer team this season, here is your big chance. It does not matter if you never played soccer or if you have played for up to 7 years...you might be a great fit for this team.
