Need some help here...I see there is the LIJ PDP select tryouts, ENY ODP / ODP Juniors, and the scroll above that ENY is dropping ODP in favor of the ID program. What's the difference between the three, and is there an advantage to having a child try out for one over another?

My personal opinion is to avoid all of the above...better option with the plethora (technical term) of academies and various in-house club available on Long Island.

So, for a U14 mid-level player you would opt for other add-on training as opposed to those mentioned above? Thanks!

Yes, there are many better qualified, better managed, more user-friendly, and much more competent programs to choose from than those offered by the ENY or LIJSL organizations. Their time has come and gone quite a while ago. They are the golden oldies of soccer.

Until the LIJ and ENY put more cut in their strut, and more glide in their stride, they will remain a moth-eaten group of oldies.

NOGA used to be the "stars" of LI soccer back in the days when I had a full head of hair!!

They have cleverly been able to keep afloat by being supported by both ENY and LIJ. Remember Long Island United? That was NOGA.

They are at best just a bunch of English guys marketing their accents. Unless I'm wrong I don't think they ever had a top team nor won any tournament or other prize since FDR was president!

In other words, shop elsewhere because there is much better elsewhere.

Yes I do remember that short lived United program . Thanks for the info. We'll stick with the other camps offered this summer.
