Politics are at every academy club kids get carried that don't belong others sit that are just as talented as others .......fair play is not part of the plan.
The politics can't be worse than they are at BWG. We have coaches sons, the director of coachings kids, the presidents kid, vice presidents kids are coaching, coaches sleeping with moms, parents giving money to the club so their kid can start, racism, whatever you can think of goes on here and the man on top is Ben Boehm pulling all the strings. I LOVE IT HERE !

Here's a thought -- LEAVE! and cut the bitching. [posted by a parent of a former BWG player with not regrets about leaving]

It looks like Smithtown will be playing BWG/Cosmos U15 Pre-Academy team in Chicago. All the Academy naysayers just got their wish. Any predictions? LOL Cosmos have the 7 month age advantage which will prove to be too much for Smithtown

Totally idiotic comment. Of the 30+ boys rostered on these U16 academy teams, maybe 3-4 are 96s, with only 1-2 getting any significant time. You can look it up. The more interesting point, however, is that many of those 96s continue to play on the pre-academy squads because they get so little time on the real academy team. It seems like this poster is already looking for an excuse just in case the 7 month age advantage does not prove too much! Alas, I happen to agree with the original poster that the age advantage will prove to be too much. It is just bizarre that the pre-academy teams forced this move of getting the age advantage in this cup competition.
