Those other teams not in a class with FU, stop lying to yourself.

Yeah dad; don't you get it? Win, Win, Win, just win baby!!!! That has been the mantra playing LIJSL since U8. Who cares about learning soccer skills when you just put the best strongest athletes in the back and just kick it as hard as you can to have the speedy player catch up to it and score. Then you watch the maniacal parents scream like lunatics and proclaim that their daughter and their daughters team are the best! The reality sets in by U12 when they play 11 v. 11 and teams that have been taught soccer skills stretch out the field and put together 3 passes and actually move the ball back, cross or to an open player. LI soccer the center of mediocrity. The only thing that hasn't changed are the parents who still pound their chest with their own sense of superiority or rather is it insecurity.

So Alby ECNl 96 is now learning skills and putting together passes, moving the ball back and so on? And they are learning to compete against the lower teams?

Any word on Stonybrook? heard they only had a skeleton team up at Delco and had to bring in guess players to field a team.

True, the team was scarce due to girls not finishing their commitment to the team. They all have the "I" SYNDROME, and don't know what it means to be loyal and finish through with TEAM mates. Not a good lesson to be taught. Stony Brook is still a great playing ball team, not a kick and run. Based on their previous accolades, before injuries they should still be ok. You people wish bad wherever you can . Remember they are still 14 and 15 year old girls, lighten up.

SB as we know it is done. To many good players are leaving. What a shame, they were a good team that played good soccer.

what does everyone think of the National Premier League starting next year? Many of the good local teams will be in it.

That is comical. The ones that appear so "loyal"to SB and stayed till the end are the ones that stirred the pot and thought of themselves during the year before. Staying for the Delco tournament was a way to ease their own conscience. Look in the mirror people!!!! Not everything is as it appears..

SB sounds done now hopefully their is enough spots on other teams for them to continue in the premier type leagues. Soundslike tryouts for this year may not be as easy as some think for their girls to keep their spots.

They will not have a problem finding teams to play on. Several local teams played with short rosters last season. Bayport, HBC, Mass, Brentwood, Alby 2nd team all come to mind. Even FU is looking for players and they won state cup 3 years in a row. I think it is probably a good thing that 1 or 2 teams fold because it will help the others add depth and be stronger.
