Wrong! Rossi left because his father seen players with less talent being choosen over his son. When he made a name for himself abroud he was asked and was pressured to come back and play for the US National Team. At that point he basicly told Bradley F U.
In this Country Daddy will take you and your buddys, not the best talent.Bradleys son, A good player but the Best center midy in the U.S.? That tells the story of U.S. soccer.

Totally agree. The Daddy soccer coach is the ruination of this nation. Daddy soccer coach is a biased unprofessional. US soccer was at its infancy 30 years ago when Daddy soccer coach might have played.

European coaches are professional soccer coaches. Their clubs are looking to make money by investing in future players, not by emptying the pockets of parents. A dollar for your dream. That's the US model.

The European Clubs pay structure goes from top down, Putting the trainers at the bottom of the pay scale. Here its backwards. What Company can pay their workers more then anyone else and still be successful?
Who really runs our Clubs? Who really follows our Mission statement?
Also in Europe parents pay nothing but are left at the gate with no say!.They dont want to hear who you are, who you know and how much money you have.
Its a Business, cut and dry! players play at the level the Club says.
We are so backwards and so far away from fixing the soccer structure in this Country its depressing.

Wish we had a way to solve this. Academy solution isn't working, at least not on LI. Daddy coach is taking over there too. Money is still coming from parents. Some progress has been made with the Cosmos free system, but that appears to be ending. Daddy coaches there. Even if some of them are good guys, it's still an overarching problem. Are the academy programs not-for-profits?

Perhaps the town clubs need to provide more direction and control? Dust the Dad coaches! If you need parent administators, select randomly and rotate by season. Don't let Daddy consolidate his power in any way. Have trainers be hired and placed by the club, not the team, ask parents to submit seasonal evaluations of trainer, anonymously. Paid trainers now are still at the mercy of the team administrator who hires/fires them. That decision should come from the club. Voices of all rostered familes should be a factor, but little cliques of 3-6 players should no longer influence the trainer. Yet trainer needs team approval to work. Teams need a collective voice, but not a mouth. All parents on team must end up with the same level of power/influence over trainer. When favoritism emerges, team can say so without jepardizing themselves as individual families.

How many times have we read here on BOTN about a kid who's being mistreated? Take the latest case of the DH kids. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the coach's right to ban player involvement with JRR, the same advice is given. Go elsewhere: If you don't like it, leave. 'Guy is a jerk' or 'Guy is the coach', go elsewhere. Why should these players have to lose their team? What, really, does the ENTIRE team of DH think? Only clubs can sort it out. These little fiefdoms are ripe for misuse.

We already spending do much damn money, can't we stop getting ripped off, controlled and manipulated?

Bottom Line " you pay, you want a say" But thats part of the problem.
Stucture from the top thats a start.
Nobody but Dix hills parents know what really happened. We all heard storys. As a outsider Iam surprised The Club let this B/S go on so long and then make the change with timing to disrupt the end of the season.
Those Parents and Kids are saints. I hope all stays well and they keep together.

The matter is being taken up with the DHSC board. Hopefully he is gone. He is an embarrassment to the club, and abusive towards the players.

Cordt has demonstrated great bursts of anger and he really should be removed. It will go a long way to help the image of the club, which began when they got rid of Bart Nason.

What decision does the DHSC board actually need to make. If they choose the dbag then the current U14 minus two kids (CW's son and one other kid) simply pick up and leave the DH club as a ready made team and head to Brentwood or HBC or any other club that will take them. If they boot the little dbag cancer from the club that u14 team will stay. Just so it is clear to old Bobby boy - it's not a bluff - we are holding a straight flush - time to fold 'em.

Maybe they can suspend or revoke his coaching card?? Then what?

Clubs can't monitor all teams throughout the season. Need parent feedback, all families should be surveyed, regularly. Only way to balance it.

Rumor has it that the DH board has been behind closed doors strategizing with their Attorneys to resolve this dilemma. Apparently they have developed an innovative plan to solve for this issue in a thoughtful manner. Effective immediately there will be a coaching height requirement. For male coaches said requirement will be 5'5". It appears the current coach falls SHORT of this new standard.
The good news is that Barnum and Bailey is busy poaching other Circus company ranks in an effort to form an Elite All Clown Soccer Team. The Coaching height requirement will be based on an under/over metric. Male coaches must be either under 5'5" or over 7'. It appears the DH coach may have found a new home (trailer).

I have been told by a reliable source that their small coach has been suspended by the Dix Hills Soccer Club. This would mean he is no longer their coach. I do not know who stayed and who left but the small coaches longtime tenure is over. Not sure what he did this time but it was grand given the desire of parents and kids who have played for him for years wanting to get rid of him.

Why is everyone fixated on the DH coach? Is it that your son never made the team? Is it that you are a coach but cannot get the same results? Or is it that you just have nothing better to do than come on a soccer forum and bash another individual who is donating his time for his son and others?
