Father coaches just don't work at this level especially if his son is one of the weaker players on the team.

Unfortunately the two coaches of the '98's each have a son on the team and aren't very objective about their sons. These boys play the entire game, even if they are turning the ball over left and right and getting shut down. Additionally, when it comes time for players to be chosen to go to market training or ID camp, guess who the players are that go to these training camps. Other players are rarely given the opportunity to attend these events while both of the coach's sons are always at them. At the last market training event, the entire team could have gone to the event but only the coach's sons and one other boy whose father also helps with the team went and it was kept a secret from the rest of the team. It's this comes to an end. There should be no parent coaches after u10 once you start to play at a higher level.

Why dont you remove these coaches? If all these posts are true, get them out! Look at Dh, they removed their problem ( Cordt) The parents finally had enough. They came together and REMOVED HIM!

The coach of the 98's is Paul McGlynn who is now in charge of Gottschee. This is not like a normal club it's more like a DICKtatorship

There was a kid at my son's club years ago that was one of the best players I've ever seen. This kid was fast, smart and had incredible ball skill. He played forward or mid field and would be constantly scoring goals. He ended up going to Gotchee where I saw him play a few years later. He was playing right defense and just getting rid of the ball as soon as he got it. The coach was a total nutcase yelling at him and the rest of the kids. I feel very bad because his parents are such great people and I don't think they realize that this coach destroyed their kid.

I am not sure but, If they are a 501c I believe they must have a mission statement, rules and a board of directors.
You can run a club for one persons benefit. Ckeck into it and good luck.

Not really.I have seen it many times. I personally know a kid who completely quit soccer because of his "high level" coach's constant negaitivity and constant yelling at the kids - way too bad, because kids was quite good and loved the sport..

Bobby Knight some say he is the best college basketball coach ever. He was hot blooded.

If a trainer can not be objective and open his eyes to true talent then he is about favors. You can't serve to masters it doesn't work. A true scout in sports is hard to find!!!!
