They had the better talent and lost.

That's how HBC plays and has always played. No interest in playing good soccer or developing players - just looking to get results. Its been quite a fall for daddy Mitch and co.

that will start to hurt the players once they get in front of coleege coaches.

Wow. This is a great resulr for the Albertson NERP team!!

Yes, if you look at it from a standpoint of R1 Premier v. NERP and prior results of HBC, it is a great result. However, HBC has done poorly in R1 this Spring and the bl,oom has come off that rose a bit.

Yes, from the standpoint of a R1 premier team who has a win less season, 0-4-2 record versus a Nerp team with a 1 win season (1-3-3) WOW that is really a great result-Are you kidding me! Both teams will have a difficult time staying where they are! These teams have gone just about as far they can with their current rosters! The Nerp team had an easy ride to the State quarterfinals! Good Luck!

Attention Tool: I don't have a dog in this fight, but was merely making an observation based on paper and prior results. To knock any team who wins in State Cup is downright silly, juvenile and nothing more than sour grapes. State Cup is very much like the FA Cup, where upsets often occur. That's why a State Cup finalist or winner is highly valued - i.e. Farmingdale winning it three (3) years in a row. Easy road or not, you still have to play the game and on any given day, a perceived superior team can lose - i.e. Westchester Pats losing to Monroe in the first round of State Cup 2 years ago. Anything can happen. So, get over yourself and emeber its GU15 soccer - not life or death.

Teaching kick and run is not soccer, hope HBC parents understand. Time to find other team.

its not life or death but you really need to get your facts straight "high valued" farmingdale NEVER won 3 state cups in a row

That is true.

And HBC's style of play is catching up with them. You can have results at the younger ages, but the superior skilled teams will be the more desired kids that coaches look at. Albertson is not much better with style of play than HBC so it must have been like watching a tennis match.

OH NO NOT AGAIN. The E.M. ECNL HURRICANES had another lost weekend?
Remember they have the best trainer on longisland? Parents are at the boiling point. Talking on sidelines about his replacement. His record speaks volumes. Time for a change ya think.

Not quite a "David beating Goliath" but the smaller Fury team won most of the battles... both physically and athletically. Fury outside backs and midfielders played real strong.

good or not you are subsidizing the ecnl players who PR gives a free ride to on the all star team. how does it feel knowing your $$$ are paying for someone else to play?

okay, pot stirrer. give a rest with your sour grapes false rumors

Did better this weekend than Alby ECNL who tie, loss and no wins.

I think it is less about their style of play and more about their lack of depth. Last time I saw them play they had quite a bit of possession and a few very skilled players (small forward/center defenders). The problem I saw was 2 or 3 players that aren't up to level are also on the field and they have no subs at all. Btw, I think that is a problem with a lot of the 2nd tier teams and I believe it is more to do with the lack of consolidation in this age group. Normally by this time the girls would be down to 2 or 3 decent "premier" teams and in this age group there are 7 or 8 that like to think they are.
