Disagree. It's doubtful that this coach Shawn bit more than one person during a soccer game so if you want to know the name of the guy Shawn bit, ask Shawn. The poster is saying, this is a guy who makes a living training little kids. Character - honor, fairness, decency, is the basic value of any youth sport. Otherwise you would have coaches giving bounties for injuring the other teams best players. It is really important to know who these youth coaches are and what their pasts are. Don't forget this guy makes a living training little kids so he gets held to a different standard. Crush winning games is Shawn's bragging rights to get other clubs to pay him for training.

Lots of us know when Shawn first created Crush he went on BackOfThe Net trying to poach other teams best players for his tryouts for U11, hyping up the "sponsorship deal" for free training. He also bragged on the fields to the other SM/S1 coaches about how he ran up the score 9-0 to destroy a Lindenhurst team out of anger and revengeance because the Lindy coach was his hometown enemy. Shawn hated AllStars, hated New Hyde Park, hated HBC Chelsea, and slammed them anonymously on BackOfThe Net. He went foaming at the mouth against any U11 game referee he didn't like. He's not your innocent la-de-dah coach. He came into Long Island Youth Soccer League like a dog with rabies. Now hes got to live with it.

It will be good if people were required to register using their real names to use the site. Otherwise people will continue to post false information about anyone they don't like. It appears that there is quite a bit more inconsistency in s1 this spring. Could it be more parity? I'm wondering how much the Crush goalie not being there is having an effect on the team. Surprising to see them lose to Chelsea. No knock on HBC Chelsea but seems like those games in the past have not even been close. Wondering if that's a big effect on their offense as well?

I think we should all agree that our boys are lucky to have the ability to play against each other in very competitive games week after week. Chelsea is a strong side, and with a diminished team due to injury, the crush were not up to the task. Nice win for HBC Chelsea. There are 10 competitive teams in both age groups. The top 7 or 8 in either N1 or S1 could earn a victory against the other any given weekend. I think that we should all agree that the competition has caught up to the "almighty crush" as referred to in the past and they are no longer alone at the pinnacle of this age group.

Looking back at the fall, they tied 1-1. Is that not close? Chelsea very inconsistent, but they can compete with top teams.
