I was worried about being unfair with playing time for the U9B soccer team I coached, then I found out one of the parents was a Little League coach. He was taking kids to not play, just so he had subs. They could only play a certain number, and could roster more, and he NEVER gave the subs playing time, EVER.

And as for the crazy parent mentioned, I would report him to the club, not the coach, and they could send out an email stressing "Set A Good Example".

the club would probably tell you to tell your coach first. clubs usually let the coaches handle issues with parents on the team.

what have you been smoking RHRHRH? you are coaching now? seems off today.lolz.

The parent sounds like a moron. He/she seems unstable. It is sad what youth sports have become.

Plenty of bar fights and nights in jail when I was in college. I thought it was better to not have a confrontation at a 9 year old soccer game. Also my business lively hood would be in serious jeopardy if arrested.

Am I supposed to be impressed that you were in bar fights in LI growing up? A couple of beers and all your boys there to back you up when the stuff hits the fan...doen't make you a man.

You mouthed off which was your first mistake. Now you want to cry to the coach. You should have kept your mouth shut to start.

Second issue here is you guys are parents of kids in the same club and you curse at each other on the sidelines like animals...you should be ashamed. Would never happen on the sidelines of our team. Now you know why LI parents get a bad rep.

Third, it is U9...I guess you are training for being a bad parent at U12. I can't imagine what you clowns will be like in three years on the sidelines.

Apologize and offer your hand for him to shake next time you see him (the right thing to do) and hopefully squash it, or be the tough guy you think you are and square up toe to toe fight the dbag and embarass yourself, your family and your kid and be that guy.

He said in a later post he did curse at the guy before dropping the flag and backing down. Don't you think it is odd that a dad from his own team would follow the guy and challange him to a fight if all that happened was the guy put the flag up on a ball that rolled out of bounds in a U9 soccer game. I hate to break it to you , but there is no tooth fairy, easter bunny and santa claus. More to the story

I do not need to impress anybody. I was a nationally ranked athlete that went to a division 1 school on a full ride. My kids participate in a sport a day which works out to about 3000 sporting events I have been to as a parent. I have never spoke bad about a parent, a coach, an opposing coach, an official or an obvious bad call. My kids are taught to respect their teammates, coaches, officials and be thankful for good competition. Unfortunately this was the first time I ever did more than mind my own business at one of my children's games and this is what happens. From your post maybe you need beer muscles to get in a fight, I do not. If it was an adult only league maybe I would not have shown restraint. Also the clown that started with me has been to 2 games. The first game he stood on the sideline and told our team of 3 years not to pass the ball so much, and then screamed at his kid to carry the ball through, which didn't work out.
