wow what a absolute disaster this tournament turned out to be... my daughters team played in the u-7 girls division and her team went 4-0-1 not letting up a single goal the entire tournament.... the rules stated that in the event of a tie in sundays playoff games, that the higher seed coming into the game would be awarded the win.. My daughters team ended up playing north shore in the finals, and they tied 0-0... my daughters team was the #1 seed coming into sundays playoff matches by going 3-0 and beating north shore head to head on saturday 1-0... they had north shore beat in every single tie breaker catagory! so after the championship game was over we were all jumping for joy because our kids had just won a very competitive tournament, and low and behold, the tournament director gets on the microphone and awards co champion 1st place trophies saying that both of our team tied in points!! i dont know how 4-0-1 equaling 13 pts is the same as going 3-1-1 10 pts. our girls were soo upset many of them were crying, because they didnt want to share a championship that they earned and worked so hard for. IT WAS SUCH A SHAME, Because this is usually a very good tournament, however we will never come back to this one ever again.. the director said he did it for the kids of north shore, but he didnt realize that what he did to our girls would crush their feelings. Just a very very bad experience all together. It turned into a very ugly scene.

u-7 yes, intramural uhmm i dont know, would you call an out of town team, playing in a bracket with 3 other out of town teams and intramural tournament where 1st 2nd and 3rd place prizes are awarded? i call that a competitive tournament and i dont care what age group it is. so maybe just maybe your not keeping it in perspective!

So we are talking about 6 year old soccer and the tournament choose to give all the 6 year old girls many of which I would imagine playing in their very first tournament a trophy? What a crime! All I can say is thank god my child doesn't play on your team, with your parents. Six year old kids can barely add let alone figure out the tie breakers of a soccer tournament. Get a grip.

So, let me make sure I understand.. You're upset because not only did your team get 1st place trophies, but the Tournament Director wanted to make some other 6 year olds happy by also giving them first place Trophies? And now you dont want to play in this Tournament? Folks, this is why Bullying is such a problem in schools. It's Parents like this who do not display any compassion for other Kids. Instead of being Happy to make others Happy you turn it into a negative event. You could easily have displayed joy and taught the good in helping others but instead you turned it into an ugly event. You are a horrible person and I think the folks at Plainedge should be thankful if you never come to another Tournament. Quite frankly I may contact Plainedge to find out what club you are with and suggest other Tournaments ban your Teams participation. Way to go cupcake.
