Because they are 10 and a bounce here or there can change any game week to week.

Only Smithtown and WB should go up, rest of S2 very weak. I know Smithtown was 9-0 but didn't they lose to RVC, Floral Park and Massapequa?

when the teams go to 11 v 11 how many kids are usually on the roster? If they increase the team sizes to 14 or more it seems like a lot of the current teams will merge and some will just fall apart. Is this what happens each year?

What difference would you THINK it would make ? HBC had 3 teams in D1, so what ? Makes no difference IF anything, IF the coaches could put their egos aside in they should work together so in the Fall they could combine and be a more complete team going 11 v 11

I hope you are correct. Anyone have any guess as to d-3 and d-4? Curious to see where E.Meadows A team lands as well as Plainedge A team.

Actually Albertson has a game left as well. If both Albertson and Oceanside win ( which they both should )the standings will be as follows:

Floral Park Fire 8- 1
Albertson Barcelona 7- 1- 1
Uniondale Leones 7- 2
Oceanside Dragons 7- 2

What will LIJSL do?

Actually, that decides it, then. Only 2 go up and 2 go down.

Having seen games involving all these teams, I would say Albertson is best equipped to play in D1. FP will struggle record wise but can compete with RVC, Hicksville, etc. Uniondale and Oceanside would not have fun in D1.

Predictions N1: Farmingdale, NHP, POB, Bellmore, RVC, Hicksville, Elmont, HOTA, FP, Albertson

N2: Syosset, Garden City, Uniondale, Oceanside, Massapequa, HOTA, Jericho, Hempstead, Pt Wash, Merrick [/quote]

Agreed. Looking at game scores in S1 the top 8 teams had pretty even matchs. No real blowouts.GF were pretty even. Difference was GA. Crush was pretty dominant, but not in all games. It looks like 8th place Hauppauge made the most goals against the Crush in a surprise.

In S2 only Smithtown and WB were dominant. It seems that you would take the clear top 2 from S2 and move them up. Drop the bottom 2 in S1 (not that they are bad teams, just a tough jump this year) to S2. Seems like it would even things up in both divisions.

At this age, who knows what could happen!?

Of course, as someone else posted... LIJSL will do whatever they please even if it doesn't make any sense to others. That said, it seems they made the right call last spring moving 4 up and 4 down.

Hmmm...I don't know how to put this gently but right now at the current u11, which play 9v9, the roster size is a maximum of 15. When this group moves to u12 and starts playing 11v11 the maximum roster size is 18. I don't know who has been telling you that the roster is a smaller number. Yes, some teams may break up due to internal or external reasons with the increased roster.

Not every team goes to the roster maximum, the average roster size of the teams we played this year was between 12-13

Is it true Bellmore goalie is playing for Farmingdale in the Spring?
