Looks like they moved quite a few teams up to S1 from S2. It will be interesting to see how these teams fare against the D1 teams from last year. Good luck everyone!

is there any set process that LIJ uses when deciding how many teams will drop down from one division to another? For example 5 from S1 dropped, yet only 4 from N1 dropped down. I would think there would be some kind of set prescedent.

They butchered the alignments 4 teams up from N2 to N1 ... crazy, 5 teams up from N3 to N2, there will be some huge blowouts this year, then LIJSL will send that email reminding coaches not to run up the score, when they put teams on the field that don't matchup! Albertson tied Elmont and Farmingdale, POB beat Hota and this year they will play the 5th place team from N3. Disaster

How did Uniondale get promoted to N1 they were 5 points behind the 3rd place team and only won 4 games in N2. Obviously a coach request but where do you draw the line, will be a long season if they stay.

This was a pretty big shocker. I figured just the bottom 2 in N1 would drop. POB and Albertson should do well in D2. If they do are they back in D1 in the spring while the bottom teams drop down to 2? I was also pretty surprised that Jericho went to D3. They should dominate down there but who knows. It's gonna be a fun season.

I n Suffolk (My opinion) HBC Chelsea shouldn't have been dropped and no way Smithtown Chelsea should have been promoted. That is not a knock against Smithtown just don't see them winning in D1. Look what happen to BW Evol.

They got this all wrong...how does a D3 team from suffolk get moved to D1??
Agree with Chelsea, belong in D1, but Hauppage Arsenal dro 3 to 1 is a stretch, not knockin that team but beware...

Plain and simple, sink or swim. If a team cannot hold their own for a season then they get moved. You have to remember that 11 year olds grow differently with vast size/skills differences and nothing matters until they get around 13 years of age.

Teams that are powerhouses today may be dissolved by U13 due to lack of interest in the club or team or everyone goes to Albertson.
