The reason why it's in BOLD letters is because now that EM will be playing ECNL there will be players/parents making inquiries about "going over" to play with the team and that is going to make a few teams nervous about losing front line players. Why play LIJSL Div. 1 if you have the opportuntiy to play in a more demanding environment against competative teams each week. That is the the plus of playing ECNL, the competition is that much better with wider recognition and therefore the serious minded players will now want to play in this division.


They can pick you for their team, but will you get playing time???/ That is the question.

ECNL starts at U14. It's the presidents league where you may be driving to Albany.

ECNL starts at U15.

ECNL clubs are talking about local matchups as early as spring u12. U13s already had ECNL matches this past fall. If you do not have direct experience and you are parroting off the ECNL website, please keep it to yourself.
