In the "age group" could go both ways. PLAYING in the age group is different. The most talented player that qualifies for the U11 age group in my opinion plays up in the U12 age group. Having said that, it is my opinion BUT I also admit I have not seen every single player that plays up out of this age group either nor has anyone else most likely. One player does not a team make wink

My 2 cents (coach my girls u13, and boys Region 1 team -- but just a spectator in u11)
I have seen most teams in this age group and here are my favorites in no particular order:

goalie from bellmore
goalie from farmingdale
center d/mid from allstars
center mid from bayport
cernter mid from crush
striker brentwood
striker east islip
center defender deer park
left mid bayport
right mid POB

I'm sure there are many others, these were the ones that stood out imho. See you on the pitch.

Good start but what about Nassau? Your kid plays in Suffolk I guess?

I know of several kids playing up in this division and it's not necessarily developing these kids nor are most of them stand out players. In fact, I believe it's a boost for a parents ego. What I admire is a team that plays up. Not individuals..Unless a kid is physically and mentally mature beyond his years, and was born with a "gift" ..then maybe..I know this is the "great debate" but I've seen these kids lose there love of the game, get injured prematurely, and or break their parents hearts and dreams .

Quality players in u11
How can anyone say? I've seen many "premier" teams with some really talented kids....numerous times....And have watched these kids play several positions. We are truly blessed to watch these boys play the bueatiful game!
My son is one of them, but for many of you, It's like a game of clue.
He's played striker, center mid, and center back. He's turning into a complete player. And here's the bigger news.
He's not the only one!

There are 3 Nassau D1 teams mentioned. BUT 2 of them are goalies, only 1 field player? You certainly have not seen all the Nassau teams

It's Antonio Cromartie - he has a kid on each of the teams.

Sorry. Wrong use of the word spectator. Of course I have a kid in u11, I meant I was just a parent/spectator not a coach like for my other two kids. Yes, I agree there are many more. Not as familiar with Nassau although I would add NHP striker. The players I mentioned was just an opinion, following a thread, based upon seeing these same kids play primarily those spots for a number of games. Perfect sytem. No. Notes? No, I have a job. ( laughing) Just some banter and a humble opinion. See you on the pitch.

say what you want. Your all a bunch of cry baby's anyway. I guess everyone feels being cowards and leaving the field hopeing you get the forfeit is a good decision. All I know is E.I. was willing to play the game and tried everything they could to make it happen and HBC Knowing they were not going to get the forfeit refused to play. COWARDS! You can blame the E.I. club all you want. this was a LIJ decision, Blame them.

thats what happened. He said the first game had no right to be on the field. He was the scheduled game and had his two teams take the field. I don't know if he has that power or not but thats what he did. I was standing right there.

Thanks for putting it in perspective. It's an opinion!! All a@@&$)(; have one. The best is the Crush goalie dad or mom who keeps posting. As usual. Can we move on now?

Don't be a bunch of jerks. The example you used is not the same situation. If a game went to overtime or P.K's that team is still the scheduled game on that field and they have a right to finish. The point you are missing is that the E.I. , HBC game was never scheduled to be played on that field in that case they had no right to play there or finish the game . The other teams were scheduled there

you would think the ref that is on the field would have authority. The only difference i can see in this situattion is that the game that was being played was never on a schedule to be played at that time on that field. The teams that took the field were the correct team to be there. It was a big scheduling mess. By the E.I. board member who schedules the fields.

The rule you have quoted on page 36 number 5 explains in perfectly. It states a scheduled match. This was not it was screwed they were never scheduled to play on that field. this gives the following ref the right to terminate the game and take the field
