agree with most. I don't think NHP will win, good D but their offense is pretty weak and So. Merrick just may squeek by Terryville. Good luck to all playing.

I was informed recently about the postings on this site. When I finally had an opportunity to read some of them I was shocked and dismayed. I happen to know all the people associated with these comments quite well, which is to say my daughter has played with their daughters and against their daughters for many years. I have travelled with them, had coffee with them, stood in the cold and rain with them, argued with them, fought with some and congratulated them too. We all are guilty of being too competitive at times and of letting our desire to see our talented girls succeed in tournaments. But this competitiveness is now contaminating the U12 girls soccer community. Officials, coaches, parents and now players being called out by name. We forget that it’s about doing the best for our daughters and providing them with the environment within which they have an opportunity to achieve their best, to learn life lessons, to understand that discipline and hard work in something they love has rewards. Each of us has a different look a that for our own child. Please respect that.
But now we are creating an environment that is toxic and the only ones getting hurt will be the players. Officials remember teams and related parents’ actions and reputations, as do coaches, as do the players. Remember this when shouting at officials and opposing coaches. Remember this when you name coaches and teams and players on this site. Remember this when managers quit mid season, coaches drop teams and move on, and opposing teams don't return emails or calls for friendlies.
The Manhattan Tournament is a fantastic event with an incredible venue and an unparalleled President of its host Club. I have had the pleasure of meeting him and the brilliant trainer / coach for the Santos team many times and they absolutely uphold the true essence of high quality sportsmanship and management at this age group. And the posts I have been reading here have only served to damage this incredible tournament. I personally will thank both of them when I see them at Jefferson Cup and when we play them in the future.
Whether you are a parent of PDA, WCFC, Northport, Crush, Santos, Albertson, Bucks or any of the other teams they play, just be proud that your child has the talent, discipline, and desire to perform at these levels. That each one of them has among the best training available, and remember that there are hundreds of thousands of u10-u14 players who will never have the ability or the training, let alone the opportunity to play at these levels, at these venues, against similar players. Most of our girls will play high school and college soccer which means we will all be seeing a lot more of each other over the next 10 years. Let’s lead our girls and mentor our girls through this wonderful opportunity properly and by example.

Lighten up, it's U12 soccer. This forum is supposed to be
fun and your girl may not wind up playing college
soccer and that's OK. There are girls right now
playing in lower divisions that will succeed in the sport.
I know of many pro players that didn't play
travel soccer until U13 and never took a plane ride until U18.
Obviously you are a snooty (world class) parent because no one
else would address them as WCFC. Good luck!
