It is my understanding that ENYYSA does not buy into Got Soccer rankings. I would agree with the ENYYSA on this one. Locally, cups that are aligned with GS is just a smart selling point. All puff with no substance.

We are both right. ENYYSA does not have a relationship with GS, but if a team plays a state cup GS will award points.

Agree fully. We got 200 points for beating a team we actually lost to. However tournament organizers are in love with it and Manhattan slavishly followed it for their bracket allocation - I wrote to Jason Kahan (twice) about this and never got a reply. Like it or not, it is a determining factor for many people.

CT and MA have GS points for their premier leagues and this clearly helps their teams get into regional tournaments.
