Elite: HBC did fine been a finalist. E Meadow fail; they're going to have a rough season in Nerp.

Gold: If the lions want to show LI they are more then a regular D1 team, they fail this weekend. Not even to the finals.

Silver: L Grove a bottom D1 team did ok. They lost the only game against former Presidents champs and Nerp team this Spring

Hopefully, next year this tournament will do a better job dividing the teams. Bracket A was MUCH stronger than B in Platinum division. It was clear even before the games started. Bracket A had 3 teams (nysc, bsc & everton) finish with 4 points each, all with a 1/1/1 record.

Cosmos 99 held their own in spite of playing up 1/2 year. Very attractive soccer style, moving the ball around and playing the ball from the back forward.
Everton played to their strengths using their big forward to capitalize on over the top balls. One thing I don't get is why bring guest players. I mean, you're not fooling anybody, not even your own players.
Beachside played their usual possession game. Need a striker, thought. You have to translate possession into goals
NYSC, IMO the worst of the bunch. Uninspired soccer, should've lost to Cosmos and did lose to Everton. the only bright spot, their win against beachside
On the other bracket, Aguila was the biggest disappointment. A sure bracket winner in everyone's mind due to the weakness of the opponents. Still, couldn't put together a single winning performance.
Kudos to World Class, a team that came out of nowhere and did what it had to make the final. Everton proved too strong an opponent for them.

Letting the keeper come up the field and score against one of your own Club teams when they are up by 8 goals.....disgrace. I hope that "Coach" and his players are proud of themselves this morning; and Eric Lorandini, you should be ashamed of yourself. A tournament should be a fun experience for young players. A competitive atmosphere at the very least. One of your own Coaches was the most vocal - and wanted me to go to you to complain. I did not, as I would not waste my time. You sir, do not get it. The referees were such obvious "homers" that it was embarrasing. No excuses, or whining - we can take a loss - this tournament counts for nothing - no problem. That is not the issue I am bringing up. This was a poorly run tournament, which should be avoided at all costs.

You should call the Hicksville SC and complain to them. Apparently they have their heads in the sand and are unaware of the problems that occurred with the tournament. Or even better, Call this guy Eric, his name and number is readily available on the web. He should be answering a lot of these questions considering it was his son and his sons teammates that ran up the score!

It was also Eric whose tournament this was under the Hix umbrella, so calling him will not get you anywhere.

The club should be held accountable for either getting snookered or went into this partnership with their eyes open. Too many of clubs will never learn.
