Don't they also move the winners of D2 up to D-1? Elmont did not do to well last season, not sure why anyone would put them in top 5 ahead of AllStars, BayPort and POB. Bellmore has a terrific goalie and can not be counted out.

Bellmore shouldn't be counted in. They do not play "SOCCER". Kick, run, and chase. They have a fast striker and a goalie that has a big leg.

Guess that's all you need to get into DIV N1 - Think they ranked 4th last season. Not bad for kick, run & chase...

First off, Bellmore is just plain lucky. And the horrible, horrible home field at Jerusalem Ave. The teams that do play real "SOCCER"-- possession, passing-- can't compete at Bellmore's home field because it is divots, weeds, holes, dirt, and glass. Very lucky with home field advantage. Oh... DISADVANTAGE for visiting teams.

So somehow Bellmore has an advantage on a bad field just because it is their home field? Do the divots, ruts, etc. disappear when they have the ball? Do they have all the imperfections memorized? Or do they somehow play on a different field than their opponents. Come on man they're 10 and 11 years old, they don't care about the field. It's not the only bad field on Long Island. I love when teams use excuses for not winning like it was the ref, it was the field, they were lucky. The key is to put the ball in the back of the net more than the other team and if you do that you win.

Its about time someone spoke up on Bellmore! Those fields are terrible. No wonder Bellmore fairs soo well. Their ugly long ball style works great on those crappy fields. I'd be shocked to see more than 2 touch possession before the ball bounces off the field from a hole in the dirt.

I assume your kid is on one of the teams that lost to this 2 man team on their crappy field. I assume after the game you told your son the only reason he lost was because of the bump at mid-field. If you know how their game plan is the same each time why not cover the quick kid and have your players wait for the goalies punt. We did it and it worked out for us. You are a very sad person. uote=Anonymous]Bellmore shouldn't be counted in. They do not play "SOCCER". Kick, run, and chase. They have a fast striker and a goalie that has a big leg. [/quote]

I went to the YouTube link. I was hoping there was some film of that crappy field.
