They did not play each other. Different divisions.

Please don't start the comparison and giving Chelsea an arrogant attitude. They, as a lot of teams need work. Yes the field against the Crush was small, it was cold and both nets sagged in the middle and the Crush hit a crossbar, and had another waved off but if not for a pull down of a Smithtown player with a minute to go you could of claimed a victory also. That's a coaching mishap. Nice kick by the Smithtown Kid to get a tie There were a lot of good young teams in this tournament but unfortunately a lot of them were out of state teams. Smithtown Chelsea has a nice group of kids I don't know where they will end up but if not for a deliberate pull down in the box with a minute to go the Crush would of claimed victory over Chelsea. You have to be good as well as lucky and catch some breaks to be successful. There is no comparison. The Crush have played a lot more and are a good team for there age. Crush it is very hard to win always so giving credit to Smithtown is not a bad thing

Larry,
Would you agree that the reason that many of the stronger teams are leaving LIJSL is that they are poorly run and slow to get information out. Tell me why aWannbeLowLevelLeague have schedules posted and LIJ can not? LIJ has much deeper pockets and should be easily able to get info out quickly. If schedules were out this weekend the website should have them posted. In a macro sense their poor organization and execution (LIJSL Winter PDP program as an example) is the reason why organizations like aWannbeLowLevelLeague pop up and grab market share diluting the talent pool. This is the issue with youth soccer in the US. Competing interests like US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer in my opinion increase the fracture of youth soccer and prevent the US from developing players at a high level. HEY LIJSL... get off your duffs and get organized. If I ran my business like you run LIJ I would be out of business.

Bayport is a solid team as my son's team has played against them. Decent skill, fast and strong. Certainly can beat any of the other D1 teams in either S1 or N1 on any given day. That said they can also lose to many of them as well. Seems like the top 6 in both N1 and S1 are pretty evenly matched. The Crush is probably a notch higher than others but that might have something to do with their outstanding keeper. We played in Manhattan tourney and I had a chance to catch the end of the Crush/Bayport game. Asked score when I got there and Bayport had them down 3-2 with 10 mins or so left and gave up a goal on a corner and a quick restart. No subs or maybe 1 for Bayport and they looked tired at the end of the game. Looked like a pretty even match but Bayport defended poorly at the end of the game.

aWannbeLowLevelLeague by charter can not premier have or select teams.

As far as lij goes, they have always been customer unfriendly, and I don't think they give damn about how you or feel.

The best way to deal with lij is not to do business with them. You have alternatives, use them until lij gets some intelligent, creative, customer oriented folks to run it.

Are you playing lij this season, and are you in the li cup?

I'm not!

D1 U12 2012

1. HBC Crush
2. Farmingdale
3. NHP
4. EI
5. Bayport
6. HBC Allstars
7. Brentwood Arsenal
8. POB
9. Bellmore - if they keep the same lineup.
10. RVC Milan - Only if they outlast Elmont.

Hicksville is a team that picked up one or two HOTA kids, so who knows how they will fare.

Elmont should have done better in the fall, we'll see how it goes in the spring.

SOme of the S1 teams are not playing LIJ in the fall. Brentwood and HBC are going NPL. Not sure about N1

Why are we talking here about u11 teams that are not D1? Mt. Sinai Red Bulls are what they are.... not that good and obviously coached by a jack***.
