Why is everyone fixated on the DH coach? Is it that your son never made the team? Is it that you are a coach but cannot get the same results? Or is it that you just have nothing better to do than come on a soccer forum and bash another individual who is donating his time for his son and others? First off he is not donating his time. He gets paid. Therefore it is a business transaction that just happens to include his son. This guy has been around around the block more than once and has burned alot of bridges. You cant go along in life treating people and kids like sh#t then expect them to like you. His behavior on and off the field is dispicable. I am glad to see the dh club did the right thing for the team. After all is about the team. Goodluck to all the boys.

Apparently he kicked 2 kids off the team, mid-season, for trying out for the Rough Riders. The club and the league must frown upon coaches punishing children for rules that do not exist. This must have been the final straw for the team.

US Soccer has a strict rule that prevents a member entity such a USYSA (and by extension, the Dix Hills club) from prohibiting a player from also participating in another member entity such as US Club Soccer (and by extension, the Rough Riders). If Dix Hills hadn't done something and the players had complained up the chain, I'm sure ENYYSA or USYSA would have smacked him. This rule is taken very seriously.

I doubt they"d sack the coach had he won Region 1, regardless of all the noise.

As a result, they are now ranked #3 in the country.

Have you seen their tournament record over the past years, it is actually quit impressive. I honestly feel sorry that you have never been part of a sports team with so much successes but making statements like that just makes you look like an ignorant ass. Good luck to your son's team let me know who he plays for so I can root for them. Have a great weekend.

It has nothing to do with winning vs. losing. He knows how to win. He does not know how to treat kids, refs, or parents. The decision was based on what is best for children for once.
