I would love to see Hicksville play Worlclass. That would be a great game. No hate here. I just think World is the better team! period.Hicksville has one dominant player that they will try and take out of the game by marking her. A simple strategy that is highly effective at this age group. At this age group you can't let her roam around by herself because the kids have not matured defensively yet and their defensive awareness on the field is minimal. As we all know, the proper way of tackling, holding ground and not jumping in, is barely taught at this age group,(we won't even mention team defense) so an advanced technical player has a considerable advantage. In order to negate that advantage at this age you simply tell a fast speedy defender to mark the teams primary focus. If World does this, and hicksville doesn't adjust, they will lose. Since Hicksville relys on her way too much during the games, it will be frustrating for them.

WC invented soccer, Vice President Al Gore invented the internet, and you invented the art of story telling, over and over and over and over.... I got it, the Hicks coach got it, all the souls in hell got it, you are going to mark the best kid tight to frustrate them and they have two months to figure out how to distribute the ball….did I get it?

Jesus, just let them play soccer, have fun and stop worrying how hard another team trains. Amen. It's good to see a little prayer on BOTN. Don't see it that much.

Within the U10 bracket or any of the other age groups...Where are the games played in the Long Island Cup and the Challenge Cup? Just because it says a team is HOME, does that mean you play on their fields?..I hope someone has an answer. thanks

Does anyone know of any teams that raised their hands and said we have been placed too high?
We know of a few who said they were placed to low, but moving up might have been difficult if no one wanted to move down.
I know if they came to us and said we are moving you down, we would have went kicking and screaming if we were announced in the higher division on the first release.
Thats why getting it RIGHT the first time is so important I won't say which club I am from, but we are one of the teams mentioned, and we asked to be moved down to the 3rd division and provided supporting evidence as to why we were ranked too high right now. It's not that I don't think that we have the talent and training to get there, but we don't deserve to be there now, and it is going to be a huge struggle for us developmentally. The request was dismissed.
