Pretty brand new?? Surely you jest! It was his OLD bubble....that thing was nasty...I overheard one parent tell another he heard Kaz took it out of storage.

It is not a scam you fool, it is Kaz being an ass without getting permits, this is the 3rd time he has done this, you cannot blame LIJ Select for this problem, put the blame where it belongs with Kaz.

Yes, I was told the same thing.

Yes, you can blame LIJSL for not checking things out. They are quick to check your ass out coach so why not check out who you do business with? I check out who does business here and will say goodbye should things change...see my comments above.

If there is an accident there and he doesn't have permits, then LIJ could face legal issues, not to mention Kaz. LIJSL MUST vet who they do business with especially when they are sending children somewhere. I guess they are too busy playing with themselves to pay attention to detail.

FYI, Kaz employed another trainer named Danny Callahan who was arrested in 2006 for murder. He beat a guy to death with a brick while on cocaine in Port Jeff. He was one of the trainers at the bubble and trained a bunch of Lindenhurst teams. Evidentially he a a drug problem for quite some time and was living out of his car, but still training teams. He was also charged with assault in '92, but still working at the bubble for Kaz.

Murder in Port Jefferson
By Joshua Diamant
May 25, 2006

A run-of-the-mill argument at a Port Jefferson bar escalated into something much more gruesome Saturday night, according to Suffolk County police. William Moschinger, a 46-year-old Selden resident, was allegedly beaten to death at approximately 4 am near Café Bada Bing on Main Street just north of the railroad tracks. A bar employee found his body behind the bar the next morning. The official cause of death was blunt-force trauma, police said.

Daniel Callahan, 37, was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree murder. According to police, Callahan was homeless and coached youth soccer in Lindenhurst. He was arraigned Tuesday in district court in Central Islip and held without bail, and he is expected to return to court Friday, according to Cindy Topper, a spokeswoman in the district attorney's office. Callahan's defense attorney is John LoTurco of Huntington.

Lieutenant Jack Fitzpatrick of the Homicide Bureau said Moschinger was employed by Bada Bing as a painter and had been asked to watch the rear door on Saturday night. Callahan had been a regular patron for several weeks, and Fitzpatrick said he believes the two men did not know each other in any other capacity. "They had some sort of minor argument in the bar," Fitzpatrick said. "When the evening ended, they ended up on the rear deck, where the argument escalated." Fitzpatrick said the substance of the argument is not known, but it apparently escalated when Moschinger asked Callahan if he was a police officer. Callahan allegedly punched Moschinger, then picked up a cinder block and beat him to death. Fitzpatrick said Callahan later claimed he and Moschinger had been taking cocaine. In a prepared statement issued early Wednesday, Callahan's attorney, John LoTurco, said, "The allegation is intentional homicide yet that charge is completely divergent with Daniel Callahan's background and character. Daniel Callahan has led an impeccable life filled with accolades and awards.... He now currently owns a soccer training company for youth soccer. We look forward to our day in court whereby we have legal defenses to the allegations including self-defense in that this altercation involved Mr. Callahan and the victim at a bar at 4 am. There is much more to this story and much more behind this man than the mere allegations without substantiation."

A bartender at Bada Bing, who identified herself only as Lorraine, said no one had witnessed the alleged murder because it happened after the bar closed.

On Tuesday afternoon, a man who said he was Moschinger's father was sitting outside Moschinger's Selden home. He and two women who subsequently came out of the house declined to comment. Fitzpatrick said Callahan has one prior conviction on his criminal record: In 1992, he was charged with assault and pleaded guilty to a lesser harassment charge.

I know that the Turf was brand new, the bubble is not the older one from lindenhurst because that one had major rips on the sides.

Larry, Danny Callahan, who knew the guy was living in his car or doing cocaine. This happened before most clubs started to check out the backgrounds of folks.

Look at Kurt Kelley, I bet he did not realize that a trainer was getting it on with young girls or using the computer in KK. The only questionable thing is 3 dollar Dan who needs to be given paperwork to leave town.

I know for a fact that it is the old bubble. I heard it from Kaz himself.

I think the soccer community is much smaller then you think, even more so back then. If you had a daughter that trained with one of the trainers mentioned above, you would feel differently about their employer. We're not talking about a company of 15,000 people, these are small training organizations that have a couple guys who work together and are friends. They know what each other are doing after work.
