Another know it all. They did not play u14. They are in u13 no standings are posted and have won every game almost by the same scores. Can you sleep ok now.

Roster on site says otherwise.

so because of some minor technicality lets disqualify a team of 13 year old girls that have been playing us for what 5-6 years now over some different league BS... PLEASE PEOPLE!!! So you don't like the trainer, the parents, thier fields... or your just jealous because they always kick our ass's (all of ours) and always have - lets get even with them by getting them disqualified? 13 year old girls? They play soccer all the time like our kids - they're really good too! Kicked our ass like no one ever has! Wish we didn't see them so early on again but honestly - isn't this state cup about the winner being the best of the best somewhat? Don't you have to beat the best of the best to claim that? (not you RR parents - we all know just how amazing your team is from how often you tell us) Really RR should have been in this tournament too - and we all know what kind of wussy leagues they play in. we're all NY teams! What difference does this make at all????? And old Alby may not have won a major yet but they sure make a respectable show it seems at every tournamnet - and they always play against the best in top flight.

Agreed. Not a big fan of Alby but no reason they shouldn't play in state cup. This jealousy and animosity towards each other is over the top.

any coach worth anything knows the simple fact that advanced and superior players (like the 5 - 7 players alby seems to have) should move up and play vs older bigger faster players. instead they are trapped in their own age group vs lesser athletes so they can accumulate points and tuitions for the club by crushing local teams?. a couple of u13 players that didnt make the team were actually moved up to... the u14! LOL. so transparent that its invisible to the civilians! move the better players up to the lousy u14 team and develop them, for their own benefit, instead of focusing on your pockets and then maybe we wont have a reason to plaster the administration here.. oh what fun it can be when its true.

The 98 coach has coached most of these kids since 8 years old. Im sure the kids themselves dont want to go on the 97 team. The kids are all friends. Thats what its about right? You keep saying it.

Actually it looks like HBC, Bayport and U-16 RVC NERP and Brentwood team play in all top tournaments?

As someone showed how poorly EM and Alb do in ECNL league on all ages. And the costs are staggering with traveling for what? Go out and get your as..es kicked? Fact! Kids will be seen at tournaments and you also need to be with trainers that know the process and college coaches to be seen.

The 98's have 6 kids that play on that ECNL U-14 team(see rosters) and you can see how that team is doing. Getting crushed. 98's are a good team but off the island are not great. Another fact. The 6 kids that play on the u-14 are the original kids and the only ones the coach(trainer) really cares about. Alot of nepotism on that team. Another fact! All the others just pay the big bills for them. Do you think the trainers family members on the team pay the same outrageous fees?

As far as the kid making the National team I think that's great but it really at u-18, 20 and 23 is when it matters. Look at the big picture.

Its bad to be a hater, even worse when you have no facts. I just checked the ECNL web site for standings, and there is either an Albertson or EM team in the top half of every age group in the Northeast. And the teams partcicpating are pretty impressive in Region 1.Not sure why the hatred, but play where you want no one cares.

1. Your all god damn clueless about the whole way colleges work and what flights mean.
2. Bottom line if your kid can play and is playing for the so called 2nd their teams they can still get to where they want to go.
3. Half the so called big time teams now will not exist as their club or coach has no track record so to speak.
4. Also your kid is totally useless to Big Time college programs if they can't cut it in the class room. One and done does not work in college programs also gets coaches fired.
5.most important one it is akids game and many have lost sight of that. You do not have to win every game to be considered good.Coaches don't care about teams results at tournaments. They care if the kid has good habits, character and yes family.

Not 1 statement in this post is accurate... Not 1. Just a really really pissed of naive and hatefull soccer parent. Wow how DUMB some people are. You my friend and your post are just another fine example of all that is wrong with Youth Sports. Who cares what people pay or where they play or any of the other nonsense you haters keep posting. My little girl loves her teammates and thrives in playing at the most competitive level she can play. Period end of story and no one including you are ever going to take that from her. Only she can say I have had enough.

Amen. Lots of misinformed jealous people just post hatred all day on this site. People pretend to be other people so that teams are attacked. My daughter is awesome. She is good enough to play on ANY team in this age group and she CHOOSES to play on the one she is on. When its college time, she will have the grades and the soccer goods to go where she wants to go. Good luck to all the losers who bash her team.

the joy that winning brings is undeniable and the coaching is beyond belief dont get me wrong.. but the focus should be on developing the individual player not the team as a whole and in this case be a showcase for the club to rake in thousands. IT is NOT about friends and it is absolutely NOT a democracy. thats why its selfish of them and gets heat from both a. people who know about developing INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS and b. clueless jealous parents who have absorbed uncalled for lopsided beatings since 8 years old. i will repeat one last time for your education. any person remotely educated in developing INDIVIDUALS knows that an outstanding player must first be given the platform to dominate the ball (u6 to u12)and then be given the competitive challenge that faster, bigger more mature opponents provide. the u13 players who didnt make the cut and are getting trounced in the u14 division are probably better off than the ones who made it and are playing half a game and winning 7-2 every week. ONLY IN THE USA! almost ALL successful european and south american clubs have players and whole teams playing up 1 or even 2 years and those are usually the clubs' pride and joy. everyone knows that david beckham and ronaldo all came out of their respective youth teams and played in the pros at AGE 16. does anyone remember their whole u15 team? think they split time with players on age who paid $3,000 a year? does anyone know their youth coach or his technique? lol!. think about it carefully. not as a mom or dad but as a soccer person.
