I was at game- there was only 7 minutes left and the game was being controlled by Melville. thought it was a class act giving the bench a chance to play in their last game.

Congratulations to both teams for making it into the finals. I do have to admit I was skeptical on Ward Melville and League 1, the definitely did come out and do work. As I mentioned before I thought if Northport could get by Whitman (which i thought was going to be very difficult) in the 1st round, which they did in OT, they would win it all. So my prediction still stands with Northport. Good luck to both teams....

I am writing a letter to the West Islip Athletic Director and Superintendant of Schools about the West Islip Girls Varsity Coach (Mr. Greco). He is rude, aboxious and threatens his players about their participation in club sports. He has a vulgar mouth and has no place coaching children. He is an embarassment to all educators and I will not stop until he is fired.

I agree too, our coach did the same thing. It was a classy move!

I was at Northport. Great game by both teams. Northport is a talented team.. Sachem North played great defense -who is #17 defender on their team. Kid played her heart out?

There's a right way to do things. When a coach pulls the entire team off at the same time that is not a show of respect! I have seen coaches put all their seniors on together or pull out their top players one or two at a time to be recognized, but NEVER all 11 at once.

Good luck , but if he won again, he would paraded down the street. Welcome to West Islip, it seems to be a trend, players, parents, coaches all seem to act the same to me.

There was 5 minutes left and he was giving the other players some seniors an opportunity to play.
