What about all the kids that sat on the bench all year who showed their loyalty. The coach abandoned them. They were there and wanted to play. This kid doesn't show up to a game and you are bashing her. What about the kids that sat there game after game went to every practice and never saw the field. You want every player to show their loyalty to this team then have the coach lead by example. Guaranteed if a player who sat on the bench all year didn't show for a family party we wouldn't be hearing a thing about it. Get over yourself and move on. You are trying to hurt this child's reputation for your own selfish reasons (whatever they may be). The team won isn't that enough for you. Why are you so resentful? And don't give me the loyalty crap, what is your agenda?

Of course they would. This is coming from a kids parent on the team who is good but not as good as the star and needs a reason to beat on her so their kid will shine a bit brighter. Sad but true your enemy SS Mom is probably your best High School friends Mom or Dad. I've been there and done that. Good Luck and Beware!!!!

Can only say that Club Coaches act like jealous teenagers who dont want to lose there control of there players. Let them go and play for the school and give them a break for a couple of months. Its a change of pace with new coaches and girls and its good for them.

It's a few months of fun and hanging out with their friends from school but it's actually not good for them, from a soccer standpoint. They get used to playing against slower, weaker opponents and they do things that they could never do against their Club opponents. They play a style of soccer that doesn't work when they return to the reality of travel soccer, especially those playing at a higher level. It also doesn't help those kids who are looking to play in college. But they do
have fun.

Good players easily adapt to what you describe. High School ball, while not close to premier ball is a fantastic experience for the girls, and leaves many fond memories that they will remember for a life time. Congrats to all this years participants. You made your schools very proud!,,,
